| The
Dudhwa National Park Tour: This is a national park in the Terai
grasslands, adjoining the Indo-Nepal border. An air-strip has just
been completed for charter flights to the park. One unique feature
of the park is that it houses the one-horned rhinoceros recently translocated
from Kaziranga in Assam. See the last few surviving herds of the "Barasingha
stag" (twelve tined deer). Interact with world famous "Tigerman"

has won the National Geographic Golden Ark Award for work on tiger
habitats and behavior and has written several internationally acclaimed
books on tigers and his pet tigress "Tara" who was reintroduced
into the wilds at Dudhwa National Park. He is the prime mover for
worldwide efforts to save the tiger which resulted in the setting
up of "Project Tiger". |
| The
Bundelkhand circuit: This is a tour off the beaten track of Uttar
Pradesh. Travel in jeeps, on elephant back, and motor launches in
rivers set beside old palaces of erstwhile Maharajas, and stay overnight
in luxury tents in the compounds of these old palaces with an opportunity
to meet the Maharaja at social evenings. |

The
tour can be combined with trips to forest sanctuaries for wildlife
viewing and also visiting ancient monuments, forts and temples. The
famous millennium temples of Khajuraho are included. |
Elephant
Safari in Rajaji National Park:
A two day elephant safari through the forest. Stop at a jungle camp
for the night in tents alongside our pachyderms', then drive
into the Himalayas to get a feel of the mountains, see the eternal
views of the high peaks over 6000 metres in altitude, do a circuit
of the Ganga and raft down the white waters.
