"As most of you will know, Ciaran plays one of our central characters - Julius Foe. Now I haven't seen the movie yet, but obviously I have seen him in action on the set and know of his reputation so expect a pretty outstanding performance. The reason I was thinking of him was I watched Munich at the weekend, which I thought was pretty good overall, but Ciaran was great. He has genuine bravura and gravitas, two words which are bandied about without thought I think, to a point where they have almost lost their meaning, but are absolutely attributable to Ciaran's performance in this film. Anyway, movie reviews are not my strong point so I shan't babble on. I can't wait to see Ciaran in our film." "Hallam Foe" blog, Getyourpeople.com. August 17, 2006. Posted with permission. |

"I think Ciarán is a great actor. It was always great doing scenes with him. He's one of those actors who you can aspire to be when you're more advanced in your career. He's the nicest man you could meet. He's just very good to work with. He's a great actor." "Rome" DVD commentary. |

"I must say his lack of ego is refreshing. He is undoubtedly one of the most charming, polite and 'human' people I have ever come across. So you can add me to your list of genuine "Fans"." From a personal e-mail, June, 2004. |

Peter Vannucci Classmate 1964 |
"I started in St.Malachy's College in 1964 and was in Ciarán's class. Being over 40 years ago, my memory has dimmed. However, Ciarán was one of the guys I remember as he was always well spoken and good at English. He was also interested in drama and had parts in School plays which alas I didn't attend as I lived outside Belfast. In such a big school, with I believe 1,000 pupils at the time, it was not surprising that Ciarán was one of the few fellow pupils I can still envisage, even after the passing of so much time."From a personal e-mail, January, 2007. |

Amber Agar Actress co-star "Wounded" |
"Ciarán was wonderful, truly wonderful to work with. The film has a small love scene and was my first time and I couldn't have asked for a more talented and supportive fellow actor to work with on that scene and throughout the whole shoot. He is a deeply talented, funny, charming and warm hearted man and my time on that shoot was very special indeed."From a personal e-mail, June, 2006. |

"He is a very, very nice man, not "Hollywood" at all, very modest about his work and good company, after the shoot we went to a nearby cafe for a coffee and chatted for a while, don't think you'll find many other stars who would do that. I have photographed many "famous" people, and must say, he was one of the nicest."From a personal e-mail, March, 2006. |

"Ciarán is a very funny guy. I'm sure it was a challenge for him in Episode 1 of Season 2 where he plays, well, a corpse. His most difficult challenge was not to breathe during the shooting. Can we keep Ciarán Hinds around? He is such an absolutely fine actor, I will miss him dearly." From a blog entry, September, 2006. |
