Features and Specifications

Although inspired by Colin Chapman's Lotus Seven of the 1960's, which was fitted with a tiny 998cc B.M.C. engine, the STALKER is proportioned and engineered to withstand the higher weight and power of the more modern engines available in the U.S.A. The main tubes of the "space frame " chassis, are 1 1/4" sq. tube and the bracing, a blend of 1" and 3/4" sq tube, and 1" round tube. All main suspension parts are Aircraft grade Chrome /Moly tube, Oxy - Acetylene welded for maximum strength........... THE PICTURE BELOW SHOWS HOW THE ENGINE MOUNT IS 'TIED' TO THE TOP TUBES WITH DIAGONALS...very strong!!! The drilled Steering Rack mounts can also be seen up front

FIBREGLASS BODY PARTS

The sleek body style is made from brand new patterns and molds, designed and built specifically for the STALKER, by Dennis Brunton , who brings some 30 years of experience gained in motor racing ( both motorcycles and midgets)as well as aircraft and sailboat building, to the project. The distinctive one piece hood / nose is not only aestheticaly pleasing, but functional. All routine maintainance can be done with the hood open, and for more intensive "race prep", 2 pins release the hood which is very light, and can be easily handled by 1 person. The air "scoop" isolates the intake from the engine compartment, so the engine 'breathes' only cool outside air.( Approximately 2% of engine power is lost for every 10 deg F. increase in intake temperature )

SUSPENSION

The STALKER "Space Frame" chassis, is fitted with Unequal length, Double Wishbone front, and 4 link parallel trailing arm rear suspension, centered by a cross frame Panhard Rod. These features, coupled with the 10 1/2 " vented discs, and 7 1/2 ", 10 Bolt Rear (courtesy of the S10/15 donor), Spax Coil Over shocks and precise Rack and Pinion steering, provide a very economical, but effective handling package....
