The Camaro is a bolt in upgrade for the 2.8.The Camaro engine is identical externally..just has a bigger bore/stroke.Gives us an extra 40 hp with no weight penalty..an offer that is hard to refuse!!
The first three results below are with the 2.8, obviously very fast. The extra power of the 3.4 is most noticable in higher gears...The acceleration from 50 m.p.h. in 4th gear is amazing!
Our car is a road legal, daily driver, and and was driven in all the events by Stalker developer and builder, Dennis Brunton.. a first year rookie autocrosser!
Both engines are completely stock, other than the intake, and the only change to the car from road to track, is the wheels and tires.
Now that is a fast " grocery getter "! A full 'buggie' load slips right in....

Not too bad for a first season ( car and driver),with 15" road wheels, DOT tires and open rear axle....
The format for next year will be 13" wheels, with slicks for racing..15" for road...
The custom 13" wheels drop the car 1 1/2", change the final drive ratio, reduce the rotating mass and unsprung weight by 44 lbs, increase the effective brake size and replace the road tires with slicks...
