Directions from Sacramento and the West: Follow Highway 50 up and over the mountains and into the City of South Lake Tahoe. Highway 50 makes a right turn, with Highway 89 going staight ahead. Make the right turn with Highway 50 (Lake Tahoe Blvd) and the Matterhorn is a quarter of a mile along on the left.
Directions from the East: Follow Highway 50 to the casinos (the only 13 story buildings in Tahoe) The Matterhorn Motel is 5 miles from here on the right hand side of Highway 50 (Lake Tahoe Blvd) For reference, the cross-street before the motel is Tahoe Keys Blvd.
