Lifelong residents of Richford, Vermont, Larry Stephens and his wife, Susan are working to keep a tradition alive at the Green Hollow Sugarhouse.

The Green Hollow Sugarhouse is located on an old family sugarbush near Larry's Mothers family home.  Larry taps maple trees in the same sugarbush that his Great-Uncle one tapped, on  what was once his Grandparents farm.  His Grandmother still lives nearby on land from the same farm where she was born 87 years ago.

Larry is trying instill a hands-on work ethic in his children, Pat and Dylan (16 and 10).  The whole family is involved in the sugar-making operation.  Larry has been around maple syrup making all of his life, and has his relatives to thank for passing on their know-how.  Now it is his turn to take on the task of making good old Vermont Maple Syrup.

This sugar-place has been in Larry's family for 5 generations, starting with his Great Grandfather and moving right down the line to Larry's sons Pat and Dylan.
