Newspapers
(Classifieds) Classified ads can cost
from around $10.00 for a smaller ad in a smaller paper to several
hundred dollars or more for larger magazines and/or larger newspapers.
Successful classified ads target work-at-home income seekers,
opportunity seekers, or they can solicit initial interest for your
product or service.
I am amazed that a small town weekly paper can pull
more opportunity seekers than a larger city’s daily paper, but the
quality of people is generally stronger from the ads in the larger
papers. You need to test your ads, review the competition that you may
be going head to head against your ad campaign. Make sure you set a
budget like we discussed earlier for marketing expenses, because this
can be expensive.
Make sure you track your ads for results, run 2
different ads and see which one pulls better. Keep testing until you
have developed that winning classified ad. When running your ad you need
to know what you are marketing, for example, are you leading with your
product/service or are you leading with your opportunity. Because
classified ads are typically smaller you need to make it as focused as
possible.
