INTRODUCTION

Welcome to World Media Reports. Our media reporting covered the 2000 Presidential Election 36-day stalemate, the aftermath from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the healthcare dispute of closing DC General Hospital.




World Media Reports Bureau Chief and Senior Correspondent, Joel Wishengrad has 25 years of both technical and journalistic broadcast media experience. He performed integration and test engineering logistics tasks at Sci-Tex, Ltd. and General Electric Aerospace.

Mr. Wishengrad worked in the aerospace construction of seven of the world's largest radio/tv/dbs satellites which include DishTV, Primestar/DirecTV and Intelsat fleet satellites.  Mr. Wishengrad was a Mission Network Flight Operator/Controller in the launch operations for Satcom and GStar Satellites directed from GE Astro-Space Satellite Operations Control Center, Princeton, NJ in 1988-1991.

Mr. Wishengrad interned on ENG Press Crew in the Philadelphia,  PA region in 1982-1983, which provided television coverage to WPVI-TV/ABC, ESPN Sports Center, and the MacNeil/Lehrer/PBS News Hour.


World Media Reports grew from a concept of developing one-on-one interviews with the key political players, pundits and newsmakers in Washington, DC. (Sound-bytes and long-form interviews)

Topic: "Street Theatre" in protest of The United States Supreme Court ruling which selected George W. Bush to be the 43rd US President with actors from The Coalition To Protect Democracy. They staged a mock crucifixion and resurrecton of Lady Liberty. CPD members dressed as US Justices Rhenquist, Scalia, Kennedy, O'Connor and Thomas.

The four dissenting justices: Ginsberg, Stevens, Souter and Breyer rally to rescue justice and in their finale urges the audience to vote, monitor the election vote process and take a more proactive stance in politics in the future.  The group plans to work in voter registration, education to avoid what happened in Florida. "Equal Rights for All - Special Privileges For None." - Thomas Jefferson.
