Color Drawings

Sometimes I get bored and bust out the colored pencils. Or other times I just draw with markers. Lately, since I finally learned how to make stuff look nice, I've been coloring some drawings on Photo Shop. But, regardless of how they get their color, here's the pics that are the result of me feeling colorful.

Untitled !!NEW!!
I don't really know what to say about this. I really love how it turned out, and had a lot of fun using KPT 6 for the lens flares and to help get the ribbon to look like it does. One of the best jobs I've done on shading so far.

Dino Kid !!NEW!!
I know, not much detail and no shading, but I think it looks better this way. He's cute. ^_^

Demon Angel !!NEW!!
The DemonAngel doodle, altered in photoshop. I used the smudge/smear tool to blur all the pen lines together, and then put a layer with color underneath it. I looove how it turned out ^_^

Tsumari !!NEW!!
Tsumari from the drawings section. I had originally planned to color it as soon as I finished drawing it, but my obsession with protecting original drawings made me scan it, print it, and then color the print out, rather than run the risk of screwing up on the original. This is the colored pencil version. Not all that great, but then again, I was putting a whole LOT of effort into it.

Tsumari, again !!NEW!!
Heere we go, PhotoShop is where my true coloring talent lays. After coloring it with pencils, I thought "I can do a much better job in PhotoShop," so I did. I really like how it turned out, and I'm getting a bit more experimentory as far as making backgrounds using filters is concerned. ^_^

Charcoal Sketch !!NEW!!
Ok, well, this isn't a drawing, but it;s in color. I got really bored and decided to doodle with a charcoal pencil, and then I had like.. colored chalk/charcoal-type stuff(only red and orange, and I think a yellow-ish) so I colored it in. It sucks, but it kept me busy for a little while.

Untitled !!NEW!!
Well, here she is in color. Done in PhotoShop. my first time ever really changing the black outline to color to match whatever it's an outline of.. and I purposely shaded it kinda sorta crappy cuz I liked the way it looked.

Wyvern !!NEW!!
I got bored and decided to play in PhotoShop, and managed to color the Wyvern piccy, even tho I'd never been able to before. I like how it turned out, specially the background.. he still has no feet tho :(. Oh well. This is also the model and color scheme for the dragon/wyvern sculpture I did, which can be found in the ceramics section of the site.

Peaceful Twilight
This is a painting I did when I got bored in ceramics. I had black, silver, and purple acryllic paints for the dragon I had made, but since it was finished I decided to make a mess on some paper. Originally it was just a sheet of dark purple, then I added black and purple highlights, then the stars, and it progressed to a nice little scenery picture. It felt and looked too empty tho, so I cut a stencil of the two people cuddled under the blanket, and added that. The whole thing is kinda dark and hard to see, but that's the point. It looks even better in person cuz it's metallic.

Aquaria
Aquaria in color. Colored her the same day I got her finished and scanned, took me a few hours to get it done. I'm happy with how it turned out, tho it prolly could be a little better, and I dun like the colors I used for her eyes. I'm proud of her tho. ^_^ Colored on PhotoShop.

Grease Monkey
I dunno if this really belongs here or not, cuz I didn't draw it. My friend Leda drew it (god, she's such a good artist, I'm so jealous of her). She loved the way it turned out, and I'm happy with it too. It's a pic of Jeice (from our role playing) working on a car. Colore on PhotoShop. **To see more of Leda's awesome work, check out her site, there's a link in my Links section**

Luke
I was bored in ceramics, and didn't have any projects started/didn't feel like starting anything, so I was drawing. I drew it in my kick ass glittery purle gel pen (the glittery-ness was lost when it was scanned, it looks AWESOME tho, cuz it's all sparkly). I colored the hair and eyes with marker, and the face with colored pencil ,then went back over all the lines with the purple pen. I like him, but he looks mad.

Emiliya
(Pronounced: Ehmi-leeah, with the i pronounced like the i in pin) I dunno if this qualifies as a color "drawing" but it's colorful, so I'll put it here. I got a pack of sparkly gel pens (the ink dun appear very sparkly, there's a little metallic hint tho). I love the expression on her face.

Skyler
Same story as Emiliya, cept I used pencil/green/pink gel for the face, and pencil outlines for the hair, rather than only color. (Thanks for the name Aya!)

Colorful Calculator Magic
Colored my Calculator drawing on PhotoShop. Looks pretty awesome, in my opinion.

Colorfuller Calculcator Magic
I colored the above pic some more, to make it more interesting. I really like how it came out, specially the shading of the hair and face.

Aidea This is my newest doodle. I did it pen, and colored it shortly after drawing it, so there's still a lot of mistakes I couldn't erase. I also notice just a lot of badness about it, but overall I'm happy with it, especially my decent job at shading. I was told she sort of resembles Aideon, I guess it does a little. So I spoofed his name (cuz I really needed a name for her), without his permission of course. She is no real relation to Aideon tho. I drew it in pen (duh) and colored it with pencils.

Girl in a skirt
This is a pic that I drew while camping (it's in the plain section). I got bored one day and was playing around on the computer and colored it in using Photo Delux. Not the best way, but the only way I knew how when I did it. It dun look too bad I don't think.

Face with blue hair
This is a sad looking guy I doodled in math class. I colored it in before I got around to scanning it, so it went straight here rather than the doodles section.

Face with purple hair
Same story as the pic above, cept this one's a happy looking girl.

Fire elemental dragon
Another math doodle, note the lined paper. Just the head and neck of a younger dragon. Once again, colored before it was scanned in black and white.

Water elemental dragon
This one was drawn in Physics and colored in Calculus. Same as the Fire dragon, it's only a head and neck. This one is older tho, so there's more details.

Aideon
This is the color version of the char pic for my friend. It came out great. He really liked it, and I'm happy with it too.

Eh?
Well, this one was just a random pic I drew with markers. Decided to try something new by starting out with the colors and having to work that way. He looks intrigued. Not the best drawing but hey, it kept me busy for a few minutes.

Trunks (Cell Saga)
Kinda self-explanitory isn't it? It's the pic of Trunks from the plain section, just colored in with colored pencils. I like the way it came out, I managed to find the right colors and the pencils were very cooperative. Colored using a reference picture.

Duo!
I colored this on Photo Shop. I LOVE the way it turned out. That whole layering thing is really useful. I especially like the background on this pic, the dark dark blue and lime green merging together... kinda Shinigami-ish ne?

Yugi
The colored version of my Yugi pic. Much better in color don't you think? I used colored pencils, and I think it came out really well. The red on the hair could have looked a little better, but no other complaints. And in case anyone's wondering.. I did have a reference source when I was coloring it.

Trunks (Android Saga)
Don't even ask. I had a reference source, but my colored pencils just would not blend and color smoothly, so I got all these stupid lines. And since I had shaded a lot of the lighter areas with pencil, it showed through and just made this pic look rather bad.

Cute couple
Another semi-flop with colored pencils. Their faces and hair don't look that bad, but I seriously messed up with their bodies and shirts. Guess I should stop shading stuff if I plan to color it in later. It's not that bad tho, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
