Let me introduce you to our fishes!

I have been keeping Tropical fish since 1999. I started out with a pair of Parrot fish and a Pleco supplied to me by my sister, and have been obsessed ever since! Sadly, only one of the parrot fish survived the harrowing journey in the back of her car, and one died late 2000.

I currently keep a convict Cichlid (with only one side fin, yes even fish can be stupid, another story for another day), a now very large Plecco, and 8 Zebra Danios in a 3' tank.

It is the culmination of a lot of trial and error, discovering what will live together (despite the experts saying not!), and the passing of a lot of other smaller and less tough fish. I discovered early on that the reason that my tetras were being eaten was that my sisters partner had fed the Parrot fish tetras to give them a bit of variety in their diet....oh yes, and that Parrot fish will attack anything that moves within it's territory!

We have recently set up a second tank ( 1.5' tank )with 9 Neon Tetras, 2 Bronze Corys , 3 male guppies and 5 female guppies. We appear to have had 2 batches of baby guppies, from different parents, however only 1 has survived from each batch.

Our worst mistake to date was the purchase of 4 Painted Glass Fish . Beware, Painted Glass Fish may be beautiful but wait till you hear the story they have to tell...Had we known before we bought them, we never would have done. They died, taking a couple of other fish with them, within 5 weeks of buying them. AVOID THEM. As yet, I have only a few pics of the Corydoras and the new fish individually, there is space reserved for more as soon as I can get them to hold still enough and smile for the camera!
I also have some general pics of the new tank up now.
So, without further ado, lets get on with the show!!
