Dedicated to all Old Time Radio but especially...

Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of men?

The Shadow knows!

The Shadow was a radio program that ran from 1937 to 1954, a comic, movies, and lots of other stuff. In other words it was very popular! I got interested when I saw the new Shadow movie with Alec Baldwin as The Shadow/Lamont Cranston. Now I have about 200 episodes on tape or CD. Hehehehe.

I think the basic idea of the show can be best described in the same words that precede each radio program:

The Shadow, who aides the forces of law and order, is in reality Lamont Cranston, wealthy young man-about town. Years ago in the Orient, Cranston learned a strange and mysterious secret -- the hypnotic power to cloud men's minds so they can not see him. Cranston's friend and companion, the lovely Margo Lane, is the only person to know to whom the voice of the invisible Shadow belongs.

I've found lots of really cool websites while surfing the net and links to some of my favs are below.

If you happen to be a fellow Shadow fan, and would be interested in trading episodes, there's also a link to a page with a list of all the episodes I currently have.

*Note: The "current list" is no longer current. I found about 40 new eps on the internet and burned them onto CDs and I haven't added those yet. But the list will be updated soon!

Plus, I started collecting Suspense episodes as well and soon I will have a list for them too. It's a LOT smaller than my Shadow list and I'm willing to trade to make that list bigger too! Hint hint...

Listen to Old Time Radio on the Internet! Go to WOTR Indianapolis to listen!

Radio Spirits sells good quality tapes of different radio programs.

A site to find even more people to trade with!

Finally, here's the link to my Shadow episodes.

Also, the sound you hear (hopefully) when this page comes up is not mine. It's part of the Shadow desktop theme I got from a website. Unfortunately, the link I used to have for that site doesn't work anymore. I don't know if the guy moved it or just took it off the web. If you recognized the sound and know where the guy moved his website, please tell me and I'll put up a link to his new site.
