The other day, I stopped at the local shop to take a look at some of the new bikes coming in. I wondered around for a bit but nothing got my attention. When Bill (the sales guy I always go though) told me he just got the DRZ400 in and they where UN-crating it right now. He also sead id be the first to test-drive it. The seat sits higher than the DR350. The DR sits at 890mm the DRZ sits at 946mm. I didn't feel to comfortable on the DRZ, I felt that the DR was easier to handle than the DRZ. The tires are also narrower. I was not too impressed with the body style. How ever the engine has dramatically increased from the 350. The bike handals vary will however I think I would rather have my DR350 with the 435cc over bore. I put a lot of money into my DR over the years to make it a woods weapon; how ever I feel that if you are looking for a new bike the DRZ is a good choice. Fewer mods will have to be preformed than the DR meaning less money spent. This is a must ride bike.
