Star 1-At the beginning of the level there is a small cabin. Jump inside the chimney where you will see slide. Go down the slide and be sure to take it easy, at the bottom you will find a star. There is also shortcut on the slide. On the way down you will notice the first wall that you come upon on your right will have a row of coins aiming into it. Follow these coins direction, and you will go through the wall. Inside the secret tunnel are 4 one ups.
Star 2-You will find a baby penguin right above the cabin. Grab the penguin and take it to it's mother at the bottom of the mountian.
Star 3-Go down the chimney a second time once you return the baby penguin. A big penguin will be waiting there, the penguin will challenge you to a race down the slide. You have to beat the penguin without using the shortcut to recieve the power star.
Star 4-The red coins in this level aren't hard to find. Just look around the edges, to the right of the mother penguin. There is a red coin near the large ice column. Another red coin can be found at the top of the lift.
Star 5-Before getting star five you need 1-4. Hop down onto the wooden platform near the beginning of the course close to where the baby penguin is. Here you will meet a snowball body who is looking for a head. He will follow you down the mountain towards the snowball head who is resting on a platform. Beat the snowball body down and postion yourself near the head so the body runs into him. The snowman will be so excited he will reward you with a star.
Star 6-Talk to the pink bob-omb near the lift and get him to open the cannons up. Use the cannon to fire yourself to the ledge not too far away across a ravine. Work yourself along the ledge and past proppelor heads. Here you will find a series of ledges. You must utilized Mario's double wall jump to make it to the top where a star is waiting. The wall jump is excecuted by running and jumping towards a wall, and just as you are about to hit it jump again and simply pull in the direction you wish to move.
Star 7-It's very easy to get coins in this level. Make sure you utilize the slide in the chimney and the mountain slide. Also be sure to jump on the "!" switch to reveal the helpful blue coins which are worth 5.
