Star 1-Climb your way to the top of the fortress. At the top you will meet Big Whomp. Run in front of him then dodge him as he tries to flatten you. When Whomp is laying flat do a butt stomp on his back. Repeat this process three times for a power star.
Star 2-Once you defeat Whomp, at the top will now be a tower. Climb to the top of the tower and there is a power star.
Star 3-Locate the platform in the course where there is a pole to climb up and look out on. Beneath this platform is another small platform. Use the course's only cannon near the beginning of the course to fire yourself onto this small platform. There you will find a power star.
Star 4-Climb up the tree at the very beginning of the level. An owl will appear and offer to give you a lift to the sky. Grab the owl and take off towards the power star in the cage near the tower. Be sure to watch your shadow so you can land safely.
Star 5-In the shallow pool near the canon there are two walls flanking a large slide with a red coin in the middle of it. Get in the cannon and aim yourself at the upper right hand corner of the wall on the right of the slide. You will break off a piece of the wall and a powerstar will appear.
Star 6-The eight red coins take a little work to get, but not much. Be sure to knock the large post down at the top of the tower to make it easier to cross to the red coins. This can be accomplished by punching it, and as it starts to sway jump kicking it backwards.
Star 7-To get star seven you need to collect 100 coins, be sure to hit the "!" block to get the all important blue coins.
