Clinton Jr. High is located in Clinton, Mississippi.
We have intermural and intramural football teams, a girls and boys basketball team, and a girls and boys P.E.
At our school, there are a number of electives to take, including the usual academic classes. The ususal is, of course, Science, Social Studies, English, and Math.
By teacher recomindation, and high grades, 7th graders can qualify for Pre-Algebra, and 8th Graders who have been in Pre-Algebra can qualify for Algebra 1.
Other electives for 7th Graders are MATHCOUNTS, an advanced Math class, Target, a group that does our school newspaper, Choir, where you can join our award- winning choir, Video Arts, where 7th grade students learn about the video camera, how it works, how to use it, and other important things you need to know in the making and producing of movies, and shows. You can also take girls or boys P.E., basketball, football, and other wonderful things that help the students.
The students come from the other Top-10 (Nationwide) Elementery Schools in Clinton such as Clinton Park, for Kindergarten and 1st Graders, Northside, for 2nd and 3rd Graders, Eastside, for 4th and 5th Graders, and Lovett, for 6th Graders.
Our school newspaper is "Jr. Target," and we will be displaying a copy shortly.
We have a shool wide news show called "Arrow Vision." It is done by our 8th Grade Video Arts Team.
Lance Bass also went to our school. His mother taught in our school district until the year, 1999.
