Troop 515 Uniform Requirements and Uniform Inspection

Class A Dress Uniform - This uniform is to be worn at all Board of Reviews, Court of Honors, Eagle Ceremonies, Color Presentations and any other such occasions announced by the Scoutmaster. The uniform consists of the following:

1. Khaki scout uniform shirt with all current rank, office, troop and patrol insignias.

2. Red Troop 515 tee shirt.

3. Red and gold neckerchief and slide.

4. Green merit badge sash with all current merit badges.

5. Green long or short scout pants.

6. Green scout belt with brass buckle. If the scout has attended Philmont Scout Reservation, he is allowed to wear the leather APhilmont@ belt.

7. Green and red scout socks.

Class A Uniform - This uniform is to be worn at all troop meetings and other troop activities where the Dress Class A or Class B uniform is not specified. The uniform consists of the following:

1. Khaki scout uniform shirt with all current rank, office, troop and patrol insignias.

2. Red Troop 515 tee shirt.

3. Green long or short scout pants.

4. Green scout belt with brass buckle. If the scout has attended Philmont Scout Reservation, he is allowed to wear the leather APhilmont@ belt.

5. Green and red scout socks.

The only exception to the above list is the wearing of neat, well-fitting blue jeans to troop meetings on cool evenings between November and March. NO JEANS AFTER APRIL 1.

Class B Uniform - This uniform is to be worn at all troop camping trips and work related activities such as Eagle Projects unless Class A uniform is specified by the Scoutmaster. This uniform is also warn to all troop meetings during the summer from the week following the end of school to week before school begins. The uniform consists of the following:

1. Red Troop 515 tee shirt, or any summer camp tee shirt from a camp that the scout has attended.

2. Green short scout pants.

3. Green scout belt with brass buckle. If the scout has attended Philmont Scout Reservation, he is allowed to wear the leather APhilmont@ belt

4. Green and red scout socks.

Not complying with these uniform regulations will result in the scout receiving half credit for attending the meeting or activity and may result in not qualifying for having preformed their duties as an officer of Troop 515 which is required for rank advancement.
