1. Premonitions. SailorVal has been
known to predict what Chris is going to do or say.
Evidence: The "I Drive Myself Crazy" video retirement.
Months prior to the retirement of the video, Val predicted that Chris would
call into TRL to say farewell to the countdown.
Result: Affirmative.
Mr. Kirkpatrick did indeed phone in.
Further Evidence: TRL, before the release of No Strings Attached - Right after "Back That Thing Up" SailorVal mentioned just how much she would like
to see Chris back his thing up. The first thing that
he did when he came out from the back was run up to
the camera and shake his butt in it. I hesitated to mention this before, because the rememberance of this incident ususally causes SailorVal to go weak in the knees, and she sometimes loses consciousness.
2. Personality. SailorVal definitely
has the same role in the group dynamic over here at RFD as Chris has within
N Sync. Everybody say it together now. . . they're CAR-A-ZAY.
Evidence: Moun10Mama
has been hanging out with SailorVal for (checks watch) two years
now. Sometmes, Moun10Mama wishes to claim that she has, in fact,
never met this crazy woman and why does everybody always lump me in with
her?
3. Friendship. Chris is known
to be totally tied to Justin. Moun10Mama can definitively tell you
that SailorVal and Kangaroo are practically joined at the hip.
Evidence: As a matter
of fact, SailorVal and Kangaroo are off together as she's typing this.
Not to mention the fact that they didn't spend more than a day apart (actually,
it was probably no more than a few hours) for three and a half months.
And for the record, were the members of the RFD crew to all liken
themselves to members of N Sync, Kangaroo would be Justin for sure.
(You should see her playa jewelry.) Another connection established.
4. Health. Chris and SailorVal
get sick at the same time.
Evidence: In April
of 1999, SailorVal (and, it must be noted, Kangaroo; I told you they
were joined at the hip!) came down with a very bad case of flu. Moun10Mama
was taking care of them, and can absolutely verify that SailorVal's temperature
was up to 103°. Anyway, at the very same moment, Chris was under
the weather as we noted while watching the guys on Leno.
It happened again.
In spring of 2000, Val was sick again. (Actually all of the
RFD crew was sick, except Moun10Mama. Viruses and bacteria are afraid
of her. That is how frightening she truly is.) Ever the faithful
fan, Moun10Mama was taping appearances so the rest of the crew could watch
them when they were feeling more healthy. She noted that Chris appeared
to be a little sick when the guys were on one of the slew of Nickelodeon
appearances they did. Just like SailorVal. There must be something
to this.
5. Clothing. Chris and Sailor
Val are both a little. . . off center. In a lot of ways. But
Moun10Mama is speaking in respect to their clothing choices.
Evidence: Chris
has mentioned that he sometimes wears Calvin Klein clothes just because
they all have his initials on them. SailorVal has been known to do
the same with Victoria's Secret. (Side note to Chris: If you
want to get together with SailorVal to compare, ahem, initials, I'm sure
that can be arranged.)
Further on the clothing
front, everyone knows about Chris's clothing line FuManSkeeto
. Completely unintentionally, SailorVal, on
one of her miniature shopping sprees, went out and purchased her very own
set of matching bra and underwear, which she later discovered to be a brand
called "Girl Fu."
6. Neither SailorVal nor Chris is
exactly known for acting their respective ages.
In SailorVal's defense,
she has an excuse. She's got that whole "Leap Year Baby" factor going
for her. . . Chris is just. . . well, Chris is just Chris.
Only
SailorVal is willing to crack that egg open. . .
7. The Batboy Connection. Both SailorVal and Chris are suspected of being related to the ubiquitous "Bat Boy" of Weekly World News fame. The less said about this, the better. But Moun10Mama does not want to be accused of not reporting all the facts.
8. Miscellaneous, but I thought I should mention. . .
Chris's favorite flavor of ice cream is reportedly Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby (which happens to be Moun10Mama's favorite, too) and our own SailorVal was formerly a star B&J's employee!
