Nick didn’t say anything but walked over and grabbed the water hose that was next to the house. He sprayed the words off and then told Alex to get into the car. Neither one of them said anything as they made their way to the university campus. Colby was waiting for them when they pulled up into the parking lot by the main hall, “Morning.” Neither one of them said anything as they got out of the car, “Well, I know it’s early, but it’s not that early.” Colby said dryly.
“He was at the house last night.” Alex said quietly
“What?” Colby asked looking from Alex to Nick
“He wrote, “You can’t have her!” on the side of my car in shoe polish
“You have to be kidding.” Colby said looking at the two.
“I wish we were.” Alex mumbled
“Well, let’s go find Bobby.” Colby said
Alex turned to Nick, “I’ll see you later.”
He kissed her, “Okay.”
“Bye.”
Alex turned and followed Colby up the walk into the hall where their English class was, where Bobby was waiting for them, “Morning.” He said as they approached
“He was out the Carter’s last night.” Colby said
“How do you know?”
“He wrote something on the side of Nick’s car.”
“Are you sure it was him?”
“Yeah, he wrote, “YOU CAN’T HAVE HER!”
“You know, I am tired of being talked about like I wasn’t even here.” Alex said starting to get mad.
“Sorry, Lex.”
“Well, let’s get to English.” She told the two as she walked past them.

Alex sat in the locker room. She was all ready for the big game. The stalker hadn’t ‘appeared’ since the incident with Nick’s car. She was hoping that that would be the last they would see of him. Nick had to go to New York several days ago and she was hoping he would make it back in time for the game. She exited the locker room to run into Bobby, “Oh, sorry.”
“No problem. You going out on the field now?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, then I’ll go sit down.”
“Okay. Hey, I like the cap.” She said referring to the blue Yankee’s cap Bobby was wearing.
“Oh, this old thing. Thanks.”
Alex laughed and headed out to the field.
Alex was warming up with one of the other pitcher’s when the Coach came over, “Alex, I’m not going to put you in until half way thru.”
“Okay Coach.”
“Good, so, just be ready if we’re dying.”
She grinned, “Gotcha Coach.”
Alex sat down on the pitcher’s bench and the game began. Alex was having a hard time concentrating on the game because she was thinking about all the happenings with the stalker. Her mind slowly traced the events, all the way back to Europe. Her mind worked on details trying to remember everything. She thought of anybody who would have a key, or an opportunity. Then something stuck out in her mind and she almost screamed, she knew who the stalker was! The only question was, WHY?!
