WORLD FOR ONE

Sometimes I get to thinking

About how life was then

And then I get to wishing

It could be that way again.

It seems the world was made for

Two of everything.

And one alone can't really feel

The joy that life can bring.

When you have no one to share with

The loneliness gets stronger.

Until sometimes you really feel

You can go on no longer.

But day by day you realize

There's a lot of life to live.

And you must face tomorrow

With all the love you have to give.

It really will get easier

Things will get better by and by.

When this storm in life is over

There will be a rainbow in the sky.
