My Compliments page

Here are a few "thank you" letters for this site.... Enjoy!

Oh Please add my link to your page!

These jerks are unbelievable, I can't believe that they are still in business!

I am bookmarking your site to add to my page, as I search for more RTG hate pages, which there are ALOT of. Soon I will update my page with the pages I find.

Thanks for doing this too, the more the better and hopefully the more people we can educate on this is sham of a company, the more consumers we can save.

We are currently looking for a bedroom suite for my son and a new dining
room table. I had looked at Rooms To Go and had just about decided to
buy. I then remembered something about problems with their interest free
financing and decided to go online to see what I could find out about
their reputation and quality. Thanks to all who have taken the time to
share their frustations and horror stories. You have saved us well over
$3000.00 and cost Rooms To Go the sale. (That might give some of you a
little satisifaction.) I'll never go back....

Hi,

I just received a pre-approved credit line for $2000 from Rooms To Go. I was tempted and decided to see if they had a website. Yours was the first one I looked at. Because of your website I will NOT be shopping at Rooms To Go. I don't need the aggravation and would rather pay more to another furniture company if necessary to get quality furniture and be treated fairly. THANK YOU for your warning about this Company!! I wish more people would fight back in this way!
Most Sincerely,

Thank you for this website. I live on the southside of Atlanta and have been
to the RTG stores in the Southlake area. My husband and I had considered them
because of the no payment until whenever offer they always have. Thank you
for preventing a huge mistake. I hope many others stop shopping with them,
even in the show room, many items looked very cheaply made.

Thanks again & keep up the good work.

oh how i love your website...

the only thing is i wish people would use the advice....i went to rooms
to go in the first of march, to pick out a living room set..i went, the
salesperson was very nice. i told him that i live upstairs in a apt. and
was worried about the furniture not fitting up the stairs...he said no
problem, we have experience drivers..i said ok. well they told me they
could not deliver it until april due to the fact they backed up, i said
no problem..they were to deliver april 11. they came. one of the guys
seem to be very upset of where i live, fussing about trying to get the
furniture upstairs...i told him i discussed this matter with the
salesperson and he told me not to worry, because they had experience
drivers...he said they will tell you anything. they finally got my
furniture upstairs..after putting a hole in my door where they drop the
couch into it...the ripe my couch ( it was leather)....then i notice the
love seat had a ripe...ugh... and my furniture looked dirty..they left
saying oh, they will have to replace it...ugh...i called room to go. and
told them about the furniture and my door...they said they would call me
and send a tech out..well i called back on april 27 to remind them
..they send a tech march 2...i took a day off to seat there all
day...finally the tech showed up. and walk in for less then
10min..telling me that they are just gonna have to replace it, he did
not clean my leather like he was supposed to..wasted day...he said they
will call you...i waited for them to call since i was gonna be on
vacation i was in a big hurry..well i called them, june 12....they
didnt have the order yet, but she would place it now..i told her i
would be going out of town..why dont they deliver my furinture in
august..to give them plenty of time to get there ducks in a row...well
the called me two weeks in a row..telling me my furniture was coming and
to be there....well july 31, day before my furniture was to come, they
called and told my couch was on back order...i was furious..i called
them fussing..and the women hung up on me..( i never cuss them)..aug 1
the day of my furniture...the deliver guy told me that the love seat on
his truck was used (the only person that was honest)..and he wouldnt
accpt it..so i didnt ...thank god..i called them telling them that i
thought the the loveseat looked used..she put me on hold and came
back..and said your living room set has been discontinued...and would
you like 10% off or would you like to go and reselect new furniture...i
said i guess you will be seeing me then...i went asap to pick it out. i
had to wait another month to get my furniture... and plus the color i
chosen in the showroom, was not the color i chosed..ugh....i was fed up.
i did not call them to tell them, the color was ok..i just didnt want
to deal with them NO MORE..... the days after the first visit. they were
on wral channel 5..for poor customer service..i also contacted them in
july to tell them they need to rerun that part..and tell people they
still havent change....she email me back a told me she was sending all
complaints to the head man..she said they were so many.....so why do
people continue to go back. but one of the drivers for them told me you
wouldnt belive how many people continue to go back...thats when people
should not complain, they are setting themselves up...

My husband and I have been working on out house since November 1999
and are almost finished. We sold all of our old furniture, for
it would have just gotten in the way. We are about to purchase
an ENTIRE living room and dining room set and had picked it out
at RTG a few months ago. Thank you for this sight! You have saved
me a great deal of frustration. We have decided to purchase from
Ethan Allen and Havertys. Too bad RTG, I am willing to pay more
than twice what I would have, but am assured quality and service.
Surely, I would have obtained an attorney if I made a purchase
from you and could have cost me more. Thank you consumers, your
efforts have not gone in vain. Please print this so RTG knows it
has effected yet another potential customer.

Thank you for such wonderful page.  I notice there are a lot of
people complaining about RTG.  Can we not get together? Write letters?
Is there anything we can do?  Seems to me RTG is taking advantage
of people.  Are there any laws that protects us?

Just let me know if you need my signature, name, support to do anything!

Thanks to these websites, I'm not going to make the mistake of spending my $5,000 at your store.  The net is a powerful tool, and it's only a matter of time before Rooms To Go's reputation will be poor enough to where nobody will patronize their stores.  Assholes!

I think customer service is WAY too important to ignore.  I'm so glad you have this site to share and help others make important consumer decisions.  Too many times people allow themselves to be treated like crap and it shows.  To the rest of us who refuse to be lemmings, we get labeled troublemakers. (can you tell I'm annoyed, I just read your story! LOL!)

So big cheers for speaking out!

Thanks for your response. After today I will no longer have this e-mail
address.

I believe that customers get the "BIG EYES" when they see low  prices or
financing options, and don't really look closely at the quality until they
get it home.

My husband and I went to many other furniture stores prior to going to RTG,
just so we would be informed.

I'm glad we did! We new then what to look for, and you are right, RTG's
quality SUCKED, and their prices were way too high! I could get SOLID WOOD
and have it custom stained for cheaper than their laminate/particle board
crap.

I saw indentations made by picture frames sitting on a dresser, legs that
weren't sanded and poorly stained on dining room tables, clear finish
sprayed on nightstands and other pieces with the drawers in the piece, which
means that when you open the drawer, you can see a line where the shiny
finish stops all around the opening of the drawers.  You may post this info,
maybe you can have a place where people can send in photos of the
damage/poor quality!

Just to let you know about people's complainings at www.consumeraffairs.com
You are not alone!!!
Like your site!!
I am building a house and I have to shop for furniture.. I think that I
better look for somebody else I do not want headaches with my purchases!!

Subject:You are an Angel!!

Thank you for posting this site.  My husband and I have been in the market
for furniture lately and there is a big RTG in Duluth, GA near our house
which is so inviting.  I was very reluctant to go in because of faint
memories of some bad publicity a couple years ago.  Well, we decided to check
it out after my mother assured me they were financially sound.  Now we know
why they are booming again... because they get money in exchange for junk
from customers like you and the other thousands who have been scammed.
Luckily, during my past store visit, I looked over the couches and decided
that they seemed poorly constructed.  After further in-store inspection of
thier furniture, I decided the only thing I would consider purchasing from
RTG would be a coffee table.  Well, after reading the horror stories on your
site, I am happy to say I will never even buy a little vase from those junk
dealers!  Thank you again for spreading the word... someone has to!!!  Please
post this so if, on the off chance, there is a RTG representative intelligent
enough to figure out this website exists, they will note another lost sale
due to thier obvious incompetence and lack of ethics.

We recently relocated to Florida and are in the market for a bedroom set and a dining room outfit. We almost bought from RTG in West Palm Beach until I found your site. Thanks for the warnings on this shady company. We now know where NOT to shop. I'm sure you've saved us many headaches!

HI,
I HAVE TO START BY TELLING YOU I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU PAGE. I AM CURRENTLY
ON THE PHONE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT NOW. THE FUNNY THING ABOUT MY STORY
IS THAT I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW , I LIGHTHEARTEDLY MADE THE COMMENT I WAS
GOING TO START A DISSATISFIED WEB PAGE. WELL, I WENT ONLINE & LOW & BEHOLD
YOU HAD ALREADY DONE SO. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO ADMIT THAT IF I MET ANYONE THAT
WORKED AT ROOMS TO GO RIGHT NOW I COULD NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT I
MIGHT DO.
I ACTUALLY AM NOT GOING TO GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT MY STORY, BECAUSE IT'S
PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER STORY ON THE PAGE! FEEL FREE TO USE MY
LETTER & MY PLEA AT THE END OF MY NOTE TO HELP STOP SOMEONE FROM MAKING THE
BIGGEST MAKE THAT COULD BE AVOIDED. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AT MY E-MAIL
ADDRESS IF YOU FIND SOME WAY WE CAN ALL COME TOGETHER THE FIGHT THIS & STOP
THEM FROM CAUSING SOOO MUCH AGGREVATION & STRESS ON MILLION.
SO, HERE'S MY PLEA TO ANYONE THAT IS THINKING ABOUT BUYING FROM ROOMS TO
GO........

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FURNITURE OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM ROOMS TO GO!!!!! THEY
WILL NOT DELIVER IN A TIMELY FASHION , THEY WILL NOT DELIVER ON TIME, AND YOU
WILL NOT RECEIVE EVERYTHING IN YOUR ORDER, & IF YOU DO, CHANCES ARE, IT WILL
NOT BE IN ONE PIECE.  ONE MORE THING I WOULD LIKE TO ADD IS THE FACT THAT I
HAVE ONLY FOUND ONE PERSON ,OUT OF THE NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS I HAVE MADE THAT
WAS POLITE & NOT NASTY ON THE PHONE.

THANK YOU FOR DESIGNING THIS PAGE!!!

Thank you very much for putting this out there about Room To Go.  When I

course I couldn't get on it.....But I was able to get onto your
website.....Thank your for saving me all the trouble you went through.

Thanks for the horror story, my wife and I were planning to go shop for
