Lisa Rivera (photo by Laurel Steinart)

Lisa Rivera grew up in a family of artistic persons, and that environment helped to kindle her artistic sensibilities. She also spent a good deal of her colorful life around the horse industry, and her ability to sculpt and paint them so well is no doubt related to her long study of the animals. She has worked for a Standardbred breeding and training farm, and was employed at a facility that bred Arabians and Lippizaners. Presently, Lisa raises her two children at home with her husband in Michigan, and paints and sculpts in her free time.
