National upscale fashion retailer Carson Pirie Scott, a member company of Saks Incorporated, played host to model and spokesperson Rikki Lee Travolta as a part of its Social Expo, Saturday, November 8.

CHICAGO (NOVEMBER 8, 2003) In its continuing efforts to connect with the community and to offer consumers a superior shopping experience, national fashion retailer Carson Pirie Scott presented model and spokesperson Rikki Lee Travolta for a two hour appearance from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, at its Lincolnwood location, outside of Chicago.

The Social Expo highlighted Carson Pirie Scott's catalog of formal attire including offerings from designer names Nine West, Adrianna Papell, Jeffrey & Dara, Onyx Nite, J Kara, and La Regale.

In addition to Travolta, the fashion retailer presented displays and presentations for social holiday planning including limousines rental, tuxedos, high-end fragrances, and vacation planning.

A week earlier, on November 1, Travolta appeared for pictures with fellow model Fabio at the Sam's Club Chicago suburban launch of a new line of coats baring Fabio's name and endorsement.

"Rikki Lee Travolta is one the premier spoke models available because he discusses products intelligently with customers," states Drake Miezel, president of Prime Time Entertainment.

Travolta appeared at the Carson Pirie Scott fashion and society event to endorse North Shore Dance Center, a fine arts academy based in the Chicago suburb of Skokie, IL. As an advocate of the arts and education, Travolta reserves time each year to coach at an annual Broadway Jr. Camp for children at the dance and drama center each summer.

"If I can be a positive influence on others, it makes my work worth while," said Travolta.

Known throughout the world for his long golden mane and chiseled features in his role as a spokesmodel, Travolta is also the author of the novel "My Fractured Life" - one of Amazon.com's Top 25 Entertainment Biographies.

Travolta defined the title grooms role around the globe in "Tony n' Tina's Wedding" – the longest running stage comedy in history. Along with Donny Osmond, Michael Damien, and the U.K.'s Stephen Gately, he is one of the best-known celebrities to star in the Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."

Throughout the year, North Shore Dance Center offers dance, drama, and fitness classes to a diverse ethnic and income cross-section of children and adults from the city and northern suburbs of Chicago.
