Barnes & Nobel Highlights "My Fractured Life"

Bookstore giant puts spotlight on Hollywood novel recently optioned for the screen.

LOS ANGELES - In a special offer, Barnes & Nobel is now offering the breakout novel "My Fractured Life" by television and B-movie actor Rikki Lee Travolta at 10% list price, $14.35. Reader’s Advantage Club members receive an additionally discounted price of $13.63.

Travolta’s semi-autobiographical novel details the behind-the-scenes lifestyle of Hollywood’s elite. An internationally published news journalist prior to achieving fame as a B-list movie star, headlining touring stage actor, and recording artist, Travolta provides intimate details of the entertainment industry with journalistic accuracy. Celebrity names that appear in the book include George Clooney, Johnny Depp, and Angelina Jolie.

On July 25, 2003, it was announced that Port Magee Pictures has optioned the exclusive film pitch rights for the novel. Port Magee pictures produced the 2002 television series "Santiara." Port Magee principals Dan Riley and Peter J. Clark share individual credits on "The Original Kings of Comedy," "Superstar," "The Wood," and "The Core."

Earlier in the month it was announced that Ingram Book Group is now serving as the primary distributor of the Travolta novel.
