DOC HOLLIDAY

DOC HOLLIDAY 1973

This Doc Holliday is not the same band as the Southern Rock band from Macon, Georgia (circa 1980's). In fact this band is not mentioned in any of the Psych Band books anywhere. Not in Fuzz, Acid & Flowers, not in Tapestry Of Delights and not in Acid Archives. But, it is a psychdelic heavy that ranks up there with the best of them. Frank Carillo was a US session guitarist that traveled to England to help Peter Framptom with a couple Frampton's Camel albums. While he was there he formed this band and recorded this album during the same time Led Zeppelin was recording Houses Of The Holy LP. It's unknown if this album ever had public distribution. I've only seen two and both were radio copies. This Doc Holliday is sorely overlooked and deserves an official CD release. It begs the question "How did this one fly under the radar for so Long?"
