Come on, we all know rumors are fun to try out.
I have gotten this rumor from a friend of mine. This one actually really seems plausible...It's long though and everything would have to done exactly the way it's said. Start by giving the flower Cloud bought to Marlene. Then be nice to Aeris throughout the entire game, and say the mean things to Tifa that will make Aeris the favored girl. Then never return to the church after the first encounter. Here comes the only dubious part...You must defeat Emerald WEAPON on the second disk without using the Underwater Materia, which probably is possible but would take at least a level 90 or above. The reason for this is that Cloud needs all the Kalm Traveller items in the ressurection processes, including the Guide Book. When you defeat Ruby WEAPON (good luck) take all the items back to the church. This all has to be done on the second CD. The Key to Midgar is buried in Bone Village. A small girl will say to Cloud, "I saw the flower lady!" and she will direct you to the back door which has now opened. In there, you will meet up with her ghost. Aeris's ghost will walk away from you...chase it until it vanishes. Than go back out the door and talk to the little girl again, and she'll say, "The flower lady doesn't want to play!" Than, leave for the tower in Kalm. Marlene will be there and ask her for the flower. She will give it up reluctantly. Take the flower back to the Church and place it on the flower bed. Now, Aeris will return and talk to Cloud during an FMV. Ask her to return, if you've been good to her she'll say that she wants to return. Go to the Forgotten city, and to the beds inside the shell. During the night, Cloud will read the guidebook, and find out that the guardian fish will only disappear at night. Run to where she died, the path should be open. Take Cloud to the platform where she died, he will break out in uncontrolled tears. The Earth Harp will play in the background, and platforms from under the water will raise the White Materia up. Grab it. Take it back to Aeris, who will say, "Sorry, I can't use it like this" Go to the Gold Saucer Prison, the Desert Rose will let you walk (you must walk)over to the Gold saucer. Go into the saucer. Dio will ask to buy the Materia off you for a ridiculous price. Refuse to sell it to him. Dio will than steal the Materia, and run to the battle arena, where Cloud must fight Dio for the White Materia. If Cloud is sucessful, before Dio claims defeat, he fixes the White Materia, and changes it significantly as an appreciation for Cloud letting him live. Take this to Aeris who say's "Thank you Cloud" . Than get ready to watch the ressurection FMV.
Now, brace yourselves for some totally stupid rumors.
What must be done is to go to the Gold Saucer and fight as many battles as you can. 10,000 GP, and maximum battle points by the end of all the fighting is a must. Now buy all potions with the battlepoints until you run out. Go fight one more battle and Sephiroth will interrupt the fight and challenge you. If you can beat him he'll run away. Dio will be grateful, and give you his newest attraction, Aeris Revival Materia. Go back to where she died, and make sure Cid and Vincent are in your party. Cloud will stumble into the river. Then an FMV will show the materia falling onto Aeris. She wakes up and saves Cloud from drowning. Then she'll rejoin you. LOL.
After you have fought 999 battles exactly, go to the man in the cave behind Midgar. He will give you a potion to restore Aeris. After you get the potion take it to the lake where Cloud will walk and use the potion and Aeris will once again join the party. ROFL.
Here is the winner:
Defeat both the WEAPONS, trade all the items in for the Aeris Rose and use it to go back in time to save her. Please, don't try to laugh too much, my friends. If you think these are pretty strange, visit my extreme rumors page. There you should find some things that will basically blow your mind.
