"The alchemists of the Discworld have discovered the magic of the silver screen. But what is the dark secret of Holy Wood hill?

It's up to Victor Tugelbend ("Can't sing. Can't dance. Can handle a sword a little") and Theda Withel ("I come from a little town you've probably never heard of") to find out ...

Moving Pictures, the ninth Discworld novel, is a gloriously funny saga set against the background of a world gone mad!"

"Moving Pictures" was the second discworld book that I read and I still think that it's the funniest, and possibly the best. Set largely in Holy Wood, this book sees the rapid growth of the disc's "clickie" industry. The entire film industry is paralleled throughout the book, from the greed of the executives to the movies themselves. MP also sees the introduction of Gaspode, possibly my favourite discworld character. He and the other animals in the book are absolutely hilarious. You must read this book.
