Welcome to the Managed Animal Producers Member Ring Home page. MAP just hit the web again on July 1st, 1999 after a 1 year absence! This means all sites are under construction but please "bear" with us! This site is designed to introduce Rare, Exotic, and Small animal breeders, producers, and owners to the services offered to MAP members through linking everyone into a web ring. We feel this is an excellent medium to attain the goals of linking buyers to sellers as well as to promote contact among members, perhaps helping them find that special mate for their favorite creatures. The main web site is being designed to help guide members and others through the registration process and reduce postage and paper work requirements. Please contact your local administrator with any questions or comments you have regarding MAP registries or the registration process.
Please let us know if you find this site useful, and if the web is a place you feel comfortable. If we get enough positive feedback, the web program will expand! We have already obtained our URL, we are now searching for the best company to host our site. If you have any ideas, we would appreciate hearing them.
All MAP studbooks are currently open, and will remain open until the year 2005, so register your stock now to get them vested in the MAP registry. Benefits of membership for all members include high quality registration certificates, supervised database promoting the accuracy of ancestral information and identity, and the benefits of marketing and promotional support for your species.
Rare breeds of domestic animals and exotic species have the additional benefit of heritability and relationship coefficient calculations. Having this information available to all members owning and breeding that species will enable members to plan breedings to maintain and maximize genetic diversity in breeding programs, thus preserving the genetic integrity of these animal species for the future.

membership is a benifit to you and your operation, you can join at any time. There is no obligation.)
2) Only sites relating to raising animals that can be considered rare, exotic, or small. No sites with offensive, profane or obscene
material.
3) You must display the MAP Web Ring fragment on the SAME page as the url you submit to us for linkage before you will be added.
