Protect Our Angels

This is a very touchy subject. Children are our liveliness.
They are our futures. Please if you have a child
shower them with love.
If you know of a child that is neglected or abused,
get that child help.
Please read the poems below and visit the little
angels sites.
Never forget to take care of you special angel(s).

Child Abuse By: Quinton Stein

My name is Misty, I'm only three.
My eyes are swollen, I can not see.
I must be bad.
This lessone I learned,
For I am punished with cigerette burns.
When I awake, I am alone.
The house is dark, my parents aren't home.
Deep down inside, I hurt so bad,
For I am hated by my Mom and Dad.
An accident,
yes that always is thier words,
The countless time I have heard.
That I am nothing but an expensive joke,
For they need thier money for acid and coke.
I'm quiet now, I heard a car,
My Daddy's home from the local bar.
My name is Misty, I'm only three.
Last night my Daddy murdered me.

I found this poem when I was in highschool
in a book or magazine I can't remember where.
I gave the author his credit,
but I have held on to it over the years.
Each time I read it, it breaks my heart.
I cried just putting it on this page.
I am a mom of two
and I am also a licensed day care provider.
It is my job to make sure that children
are well taken care of.
When I have any suspicions of a child
in my care being neglected
or abused I am supposed to turn it in and file it.
It is to much to know that these grown ups
take an innocent and just ruin their lives.
They are angels put here for us to cherish.
Help keep that light going.

If you are having trouble with your children
and are stressed.
Go to child raising and support classes,
get counseling,
or put the child in a safe place and take
some minutes alone to collect yourself.
There are many evidences of child abuse.
Suspicious marks.
A child that has started with drawing
but is usually out going.
Made up stories of how marks got there.
If you have any supicions please get help for the child.
Also if you are a child who has been abused when you were younger,
take extra precautions with your own children.
I will be adding more to this page as the site grows.

Below is a poem that I recieved in the packet
at my daughter's kindergarden orientation.
I would like you to take the time to read it.
It made me stop and appreciate the little things
that our children give us in our hecktic lives.
Thank you for listening.

If I Had My Child To Raise Over Again
If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd finger paint more,
and point the finger less.
I'd do less correcting,
and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch,
and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less,
and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop to playing serious,
and seriously play.
I'd run through more fields,
and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging, and less tugging.
I would be firm less often,
and affirm much more.
I'd build self-esteem first,
and the house later.
I'd teach less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.
