"Unfolding The Beauty Within Us"

I’m often asked why I chose the name The Turquoise Butterfly for my small press publishing company. The name holds a very significant meaning for me. The butterfly is my chosen totem - representing rebirth and change on my journey to find my lost Native American heritage; turquoise is my chosen stone and it stands for energy, peace, understanding and good fortune. Together they not only conjure up a beautiful visual image - but they also signify positive change and personal transformation for all that become part of this powerful and positive natural energy.

Currently, The Turquoise Butterfly Press publishes 2 national newsletters with a direct and specific readership:

Mama's Little Helper, established 1997, is a bi-monthly print newsletter for parents of ADD/ADHD children. The only support-based parental newsletter of its kind, the focus is to bring accurate and current information directly to the parent. Highly acclaimed by many national parenting magazines across the United States, this newsletter covers such topics as: ritalin (pro and con), natural medicine, diet, parental stress management, IDEA, educational problems, peer relationships, discipline, behavioral management and much more.

The Good Red Road, founded in 1997, is a bi-monthly newsletter covering Native American issues from yesterday and today. Whether you are Native American or non-Native American, if you are interested in this aboriginal culture - then this is the newsletter for you! The Good Red Road covers topics such as: treaties, genealogy, mythology, current battles and activities, American Indian Movement, traditions, history, ceremonies, natural healing and religious philosophies.

The mission of the Turquoise Butterfly Press is to create products that support those who are interested in making the most of their lives, energies and opportunities. Our goal is to create an environment for such change, and to assist you as you unfold your potential.
