sneak preview

Taylor Moffitt audio furnature is being developed in a cooperative effort with Acoustic Sciences Corporation (acoustic panels) and Shun Mook Audio (optional shelving).

The stands are softly lit to display your componentry in all its glory. 4" diameter custom CNC-milled aluminum spikes are at the base of the front legs. The welded-steel frames may be filled with sand (common "play sand" available in toy stores sounds the best-- Bill Ying, Shun Mook Audio). They are finished with 12 coats of the sexiest hand-rubbed black paint you've ever seen. The optional maple shelves are individually tuned for optimum resonance behavior by Shun Mook Audio. These shelves were developed just for Taylor Moffitt Acoustic Carpentry. 3" thick MDF shelving in any veneer (walnut burl, andes rosewood, et alli) comes standard. The stands have motorized fold-up acoustic panels which tuck away invisibly when you wish to showcase your electronics. These shelves are "voiced" to not only stay out of the way of the music, but to improve the sound of your room as well. The 3-shelf double-width stands will fetch around $8,000 each. 4-shelf component stands are priced around $6,000, and the amp racks are $3000 each. Look to see some of these at CES 2000.

The storage racks look just like the equipment racks with the acoustic panels folded down. All Taylor Moffitt components were designed for visual continuity. With a component rack on your left and a storage rack on your right, your room will never have looked or sounded better.
