  • Our goal for this exciting event is to have fun and enjoy our children, while learning and teaching our children self-esteem. Who knows you or your child may be the 2008 ROYALTY. The judges will not be informed of how any contestant placed in a previous pageant. All contestants start out on equal ground in the finals. Come join us in beautiful Cocoa Beach, Florida. Enclosed are all the details regarding finals. After careful reading of this brochure, please contact us with any questions you have. Also return all forms to pagenat office as soon as possible to ensure the contestants' picture is in the program book and prizes and awards are available for every contestant attending the pageant.     Our special pageant rate is $100 per night for regular rooms, AND the hotel has a very limited number of suites available.
    Please tell the hotel you're with the pageant to receive this special rate.
    Hotel check in, is generally after 3-4pm, check out is 11am.
    Make sure you make necessary arrangements; I can not request late checkouts for you.
    Make reservations early, this hotel books up fast.

  • PROGRAM BOOK PHOTO INFO

    The Program Book will have two sections.
    The front section will be the contestant's photos and the back section will be ad pages and sponsor list.
    You need to send a Photo and your $75 registration fee to pageant office by JUNE 1, 2009
    All contestants must pay the registration fee.
    You can pay this yourself or get sponsors.
    Sponsors can be business (tax deductible as advertisement) or family and friends. We need a list of sponsors with your registration (IF YOU WANT THEM LISTED IN THE PROGRAM).
    We have enclosed a sample sponsor letter to assist you with sponsorship request.

  • CAMERAS & VIDEOS
    We will have our video person on hand during competition and crowning.
    NO VIDEO EQUIPMENT ALLOWED AT ANY TIME.
    Failure to comply will result in disqualification without refund. You may use personal cameras as long as you do not interfere with pageant proceedings. (Please stand at least 5 feet behind judges)

  • ADMISSION TO EVENTS
    All optional events and beauty competition can be viewed free of charge. Tickets for crowning (SUNDAY) may be purchased for $20 each. Children under 12 years are admitted free. Please purchase tickets at registration. Please make all guests aware of this admission charge. Everyone needs an admission badge. Except contestants and one parent.

  • NATIONAL FINALS BEAUTY COMPETITION
    JUDGED ON FACIAL BEAUTY/PERSONALITY—POISE
    AND OVERALL APPEARANCE (TOTAL PACKAGE)
    Newborn thru 3 years attire for beauty competition should be formal wear. Girls should wear short dresses. Boys should wear tuxedo. Contestant will go on stage with one parent (optional) go to center (front) of stage and charm our judges.
    4 year plus: attire for beauty competition should be formal wear. Girls may wear short or long gowns. Boys should wear tuxedo. All girls over 12 years should wear long gown.
    Your choice. Our stage will be a t-style stage.

  • NO INTERVIEWS

  • COVER BOY/GIRL
    Our program book will feature our Cover Boy or Girl on covers.
    Win the cover of the 2009 SWEET PEA PAGEANTS FINALS PROGRAM BOOK.
    Simply send in your photo/s. This photo should be facial shot only and with/without hats (smiling, serious, or any other expression welcome).
    This year we will have a front cover winner and a back cover winner.
    Divisions are newborn to 3 years or 4 years and over. Four runner-ups for each division will be featured on inside of program book.
    Photos need to be submitted by JUNE 1, 2009 and can be in color or B & W. sizes no larger than 8x10 or 8½ x11.
    Winners will receive photo on cover of program book, awesome plaque, $300.00 savings bond and a beautiful crown.
    The eight runner-ups receive an awesome plaque and photo in program book .Do not confuse this with photogenic this event does not count for overall. All photos will be returned day of pageant unless prior arrangements are made with director. Entry fee is $50.00 for first photo and $10.00 each additional photo.

  • CENTERFOLD CONTEST
    This photo should be a full body shot, meaning head down not stopping at mid-drift. Props such as wagons, fishing and athletic, brand name consumer products, etc. are welcome. Photos 8x10 or 8½x11 please with direction and orientation optional. Photos need to be in to pageant office by June 1, 2009 and can be color or B & W. Choose your favorite photo/s and be the next Centerfold Winner. One winner for entire pageant boy or girl will receive winning photo in centerfold of program book, awesome photo plaque, $300.00 savings bond, and a beautiful crown. Eight runner-ups receive photo in program book and an awesome plaque. Photos will be returned day of pageant unless prior arrangements are made with director. Entry fee is $50.00 first photo and $10.00 each additional.

  • TALENT COMPETITION
    The entry fee for talent is $75. We will have one overall talent winner. The overall winner will receive a 4 foot trophy, crown, and a $200 savings bond. Each age division winner will recieve a trophy. We will have 2 runners-up in each division. The age divisions will be: Girls and Boys together: newborn to 4 years; 5-7 years, 8-10 years; 11-15 years.

  • OPTIONAL CATEGORIES
    The entry fee is $50.00 per category.
    Age divisions are the same as beauty competition.
    All of the following events have a winner and two runner-ups. The following are optional categories and may be entered any time before that competition begins.

  • SPORTSWEAR:
    Fancy, Dressy outfit, NOT SPORTS RELATED--glitz is o.k.(not football, no tennis, no cheerleaders, etc.)Satin Jumpsuit, party dress etc.
  • SWIMWEAR:
    One piece for 7 and over girls—hand props great and it’s OK to remove cover-up, 6 and under can wear one or two piece.
  • PHOTOGENIC:
    Photo, any size—8x10’s work best…B/W or color your choice (face photo)
    extra photo’s can be submitted with an additional fee of $10 each.
  • PORTFOLIO:
    A portfolio is a photo album with a collection of photo’s (all photo’s should be within past 6 months) Using a variety of photo types, headshots, full body, indoors/outdoors, different outfits. Usually 10-15 photo’s total. Extra portfolio’s can be submitted with an additional fee of $10 each.
  • OUTFIT OF CHOICE:
    This can be any kind of outift. This can not be an outfit you wear for sportswear/swimwear/AMERICA WEAR. It must be a different outift. It can be western wear, 50's, 60's, etc. causal sportswear, party wear, holiday wear, costume. Basically any outfit you wish to use. Props can be used.
  • Most Beautiful/Handsome:
    Judged on Facial Beauty Only.

  • RUNNER-UPS:
    FOUR runner-ups per age division receive a trophy. All contestants per age division receive a trophy.

  • OPTIONAL EVENT AWARDS:
    A winner in each age division per event will receive a trophy or plaque. Two runner-ups in each age division and event will receive a trophy or plaque.

  • **TWO GRAND OVERALL HIGH POINT WINNERS**
    TWO OVERALL WINNER: This will be the contestant boy/girl with the highest combined scores in beauty and all 6 optional categories. You must enter all 6 to be considered for overall.DIVISION ARE NEWBORN TO 4; 5 YEARS AND OVER, WINNER WILL receive a 5ft trophy, banner, overall crown and SAVINGS BOND.

  • **TWO MINI-OVERALL HIGH POINT WINNERS**
    TWO MINI-OVERALL WINNERS: This will be the contestant boy/girl in the newborn to 3 YEARS DIVISION, ONE in the 4 and over age division with the highest combined scores in beauty and all 6 optional categories. You must enter all 6 to be considered for overall. WINNERS receive a 5ft trophy, banner, Crown and savings bond.

  • ****AGE DIVISION OVERALL HIGH POINT WINNERS****
    Age Division Overall Winners: This will be the contestant boy/girl in each age division with the highest combined scores in beauty and all 6 optional categories. You must enter all 6 to be considered for age division overall. Winners receive a 4 foot trophy, banner, crown and Savings Bond.

  • MINI SUPREME SUPERMODEL
    Mini Supreme Supermodel: Divisions will be newborn to 3 years, 4 and over
    Supermodel is a combination of Sportswear and Outfit of Choice, Two mini Supreme winners will a receive a 3 foot trophy, banner, and crown.

  • MINI SUPREME PHOTOGRAPHY
    Mini Supreme Photography Divisions will be newborn to 3 years, 4 and over Photography is a combination of photogenic and portfolio, Two mini Supreme winners will a receive a 3 foot trophy, banner, crown and Savings bond

  • MINI SUPREME MOST BEAUTIFUL/HANDSOME
    Mini Supreme Most Beautiful or Most Handsome Divisions will be for Girls: newborn to 3 years, 4 years and over Boys: Newborn and over This award is not a combination it is based on the score for Most B/H only. Three mini Supreme winners will a receive a 3 foot trophy, banner, crown and Savings bond.

  • DOUBLE CROWNING
  • We will not double crown, meaning if you win grand overall, mini overall we skip them in the beauty.
    This does not apply to Supermodel, Photography, Supreme Most Beautiful/Handsome, contestants can win more than one of those and still win grand, mini, age division or beauty.
    Mini Supremes are based only on the events described above. Please contact the pageant office if you do not understand the meaning of double crowning, we will be happy to help!

    We really don’t mind answering any questions. Usually the best time to reach us at the office is between 9-10am Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office is closed on Monday’s. The weekends are the worst. We have pageants every Saturday and Sunday.   • AD PAGE INFORMATION
    Sponsors can be obtained by everyone.
    Additional sponsors help you pay for the pageant.
    We hope every contestant will sell at least one page.
    You may have a single sponsor for a full page or use several different sponsors to make up a page.
    Your photograph will appear on every page you sell.
    You can send in a different photo of the
    contestant for each page sold. The contestant selling the most advertising pages,
    (minimum of 10 pages) will be the AD SALES KING/QUEEN.
    This contestant will be the feature photo in the back inside cover of the program book. Black and white pages are $100.00 each; color pages are $125 each.
    For each page you sell you receive $$$ towards your entry fees. See breakdown below.
    You can sell half/quarter pages to make one page.
    No maximum on number of pages sold. All handwritten ads will be typeset. One photo per page included,
    each additional photo will be a $5 each. Advertisers should illustrate how ad will appear on page.
    Advertisers shall supply any LOGO’S or business cards etc. to be used. If you wish to send ad’s already
    typeset via e-mail or CD etc, please contact pageant office for instructions
    for file type format. If you would like sample ad page please contact
    director. This needs to be sent in by JUNE 1, 2009. After this date, you can check with director.

  • Sell 1-9 pages and receive $25 for each page sold off your entry fees to the 2007 National Finals.
    Sell 10 pages of ads receive ALL EVENTS PAID TO THE FINALS

  • Sell 15 pages of ads and receive All EVENTS PAID TO THE FINALS, 2 NIGHTS HOTEL ROOM PAID receive a $250 bond

  • Sell 20 pages of ads and receive all events paid to the finals, 2 nights hotel room paid a $500 bond and crown
  • Sell 30 pages of ads and the contestant will receive a $1500 BOND, and all events paid to the finals and 2 nights hotel room paid and 10”crown for girls, full round for boys.

  • Dear Advertiser: This letter authorizes ______________________________, who will be attending the 2009 National Finals for Sweet Pea Pageants to sell advertising pages that will be printed in the program book. Each contestant participating in the pageant will be receiving a copy of the program book. All ads placed are tax deductible for businesses.     The selling of ad pages does not affect how the contestant places in the competition. It does however, allow the contestant to win additional prizes and help pay for their entry fees and hotel accommodations.     Sweet Pea Pageants was founded in 1992, and over the years a lot of contestants have been able to participate in the national finals with the help of generous businesses like you, for this we all thank you.
