Staajabu, Karen Green and V.S. Chochezi producedthe Sacramento Locks Festival - In Celebration of Our Natural Hair on Friday and Saturday, September 3-4, 2004 at the Sacramento Ballet Building, 1631 K Street, Sacramento.

The festival featured hair demonstrations, and presentations from lockticians, beauticians, braiders and barbers in the area. There were vendors with art, jewelry, hair products, books, and information for your shopping pleasure. There was Ethiopian food and ital food in the foyer and poetry, music and informative presentations going on throughout the day in the breakout room. Several hundred people attended.

SACRAMENTO LOCKS FESTIVAL 2004:
Friday, September 3 - 7-11 p.m. - Festival Kick-off and Reggae Dance Party - $5 Adults - Children under 12 Free. – Sacramento Ballet Building, 1601 K Street

Saturday, September 4 - 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Locks Festival - $10 Adults - Children under 12 Free. – Sacramento Ballet Building, 1601 K Street
