Dragonsmeade Crescendo
(Beethoven X Equinox Cicado)
Chris comes to us from Kate in Vermont, and we are thrilled that he will be making his home here in Maine. This big, talented gelding holds the titles of 2005 World Champiom Ladies Hunter and the 2005 Grand National Ladies Hunter Pl. Gelding. While Chris is retired from showing, he will be spolied and loved in addition to being a wonderful pasture mate for Skyloft Captivation.
Dolce In Town
(Red Docs Clark Olena X Trixie Tee Jay )
This hot little number is a farm favorite among visitors! Dolce is a solid bred Paint gelding, also to be registered Buckskin. He is well bred- with alot of cow sense as we had hoped for when he came to us from Minnesota. We can't wait to see this flashy gelding chase the cows and take to the trails.
Stuey
Grade Gelding
He has done it all from jousting, team penning, gaming, ponying youngsters, to jumping and racing. This game gelding has a heart of gold! He will be Jenn's personal team penning and trail mount. Thank you Roger for trusting us with your special guy!
C&S Royal Incident
(MHR's Royal Ruler X C&S Imperial Spark)
This black and white mare came to us to be a companion pony for Windy and driving pony for Jocelia Hartwell. Gypsy is a lovely mare that knows a few tricks such as bowing, and she is a seasoned broodmare as well. We are very excited to get her hitched and driving in the near future and can't wait to take her on some trail drives and even some driving competitions! She stands at 10 hands, is a Classic Shetland, and will soon be double registered as a Pinto as well. Who knew ponies could be so FUN!
The Brass Master FMF
(Michigan's Secretary Of Brass X Willowlawn's Darling "D")
We are awe-struck by this pony! He is very upheaded, and moves like a little park horse. A lovely Sabino and confirmed Splash Pinto gelding, we will also have him dual registered as a Pinto. Corey came to us from PA, and has already won us over. We know how hard it was for Christie to part with this boy- and couldn't thank her more for choosing us to be Corey's family! Soon to be hitched- and this little guy looks like a roadster!! This is one fancy moving boy, and we hope to get out and about with him so he can STRUT his STUFF! Check out his photo below from his feature in the Mexican equine magazine "Mundo Equino".
This little guy came from the Tuggy family in PA with his buddy Cookie the Llama to be a star in the 'Christmas in the Barn' nativity play put on by Faith Lutheran Church and our host farm, Shady Maple Farm. He is 2 this year and loves to be fussed with. Brighty is also going to learn to drive in 2008, and should be a star attraction here at the farm. We always joke about the car wrecks waiting to happen when people hit the brakes to see the resident Llama. Well, now with Brighty AND Cookie joining the goats and the other Llama... Brighty's first appearance in the play of 2007 was a great success. He even made it into our local paper!
Cookie
This is Cookie, a 2 year old Llama. His best buddy is Brighty, and also now Pataeo. He can actually be seen chasing Brighty around the pasture in addition to 'wrestling'. He has become friends with the resident goats CJ and DeeDee as well. A very curious boy, he thinks it's fun to snort a greeting to his visitors and takes his role as a gaurd Llama very seriously!
Pataeo is close to famous here in Gorham! Every summer we see cars stopping along the roadside pasture and tourists hopping out to take pictures. If he is out of view we are soon asked if the Llama is OK. He has been here a few years now and has been recently introduced to Cookie. This duo will certainly be celebrities in no time!
