History of Proxy:
Andy first started learning guitar in the Spring of 1996. He picked up on it very quick, with the help of his close friend Ben. From there, Joe, a friend down the street, gained an interest in guitar. Particularly Bass guitar. Joe quickly picked up on bass, and has progressed nicely. Andy and Joe have been playing together since about mid-1996. Around fall 1997, -?-, a close friend of Joe and Andy, came over and was screwing around, as usual, when he suggested that he was going to go buy a drum set and that they were going to form a band. Three days later -?- showed up with a drum set ready to go at it. Lets just say the first 3 months were hideous, but as time went on, -?- finally learned how to hold a beat. In trying to find a vocalist in a very short amount of time, for an upcoming concert in 1998, and not having much luck, Andy stepped up and became Proxy's lead singer. Shortly after, Proxy felt that it needed a badass screamer and wouldn't you know my little droogies that Joe is one badass screamer. Shortly after, in the Spring of 1999, we started looking for a lead guitarist. That Summer, from word of Eric, ?'s roomate, we found James. He fit the purpose, to have a kickass, fast as hell guitar player. Proxy is from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Proxy would like to produce an album sometime in the near future, but for now they are just taking it as it comes. Proxy is a Heavy Metal band, they have a love for the music and it doesn't look like thats gonna change. The band had also set a lot of inside goals as well. Look for to upcoming concerts in the Cincinnati area.
