• Over the brake -- I say this about 347 million times per day!
• Please.
• Thank-you.
• Always check traffic all ways.
• Speaking of slower.
• Tiny brake. / Touch the brake.
• Deal with it.
• Make 90 degree left turns -- Go around the box.
• I want your steering to be La Dee Dah.
• Observational Vigilance.
• I can see that I can't see.
• Hold the steering wheel as tightly as you would hold a Porcupine.
• Gear .. Steer .. Clear.
• Tell me when you see that yellow School Bus.
• Are you looking far away?
• S T zero P.
• S .. T .. OK is not good enough.
• How many miles per hour is STOP?
• Stop when you can see the bottom of their tires.
• Stop before the Stop Line, Crosswalk or Sidewalk, whichever comes first.
• One, one and one half, one half.
• "Blind Driveways" should have seeing-eye sidewalks. (Okay, bad joke).
• Start at the yellow line, move to the right 10 feet and place a white line -- that is your lane.
• Mr. Gravity will pull us down the hill.
• You can always start to turn the wheel; you can never finish.
• Speaking of over-the-brake...
• People always say, but should never say, "I didn't think...
• Stay on the right but don't mow the lawn.
• Stay on the right but don't deliver mail.
• I don't want you to succeed.(ask me about this one.)
• Saying, "It wasn't my fault." is good. Saying, "I prevented an accident." is better.
• As soon as you finish turning the wheel one way, start it back the other way.
• Start turning the wheel back EARLY.
• Bottom hand off -- before it becomes a bottom hand.
• My Dead Cow Syndrome.
• Are you waiting for the Stop sign to turn green?
• Slower..slower..slower..er..er..er.
• Make a right elbow turn.
• Distraction Factor.
• Expect the unexpected (e.g. The A's and I's)
• I let the other drivers BRAKE my car.
• I try to not let them STEER my car.
• Huggish Rightish er.
• Oops is a four letter word.
• I forgot to check traffic...Oh, you too?
• (and when approaching a Stop sign without slowing) Oh, what a pretty red sign.

Then there are those signs and such
that GREAT DRIVERS
and only GREAT DRIVERS
can ignore.

• Slippery When Wet (What roads aren't?)
• Flashing Yellow Light (It means Drive Carefully as we should always do.)
• Deer Crossing (They could cross anywhere.)
• Slow, Children at Play (They could be anywhere.)
• Deaf Child Area (They could be anywhere.)
• Blind Child Area (They could be anywhere.)
• Hidden Drive (They could be anywhere.)
• Stop Ahead (We must always be ready for whatever may be ahead.)
• Limited Sight Distance (The Obvious.)
• City Limits, Please Watch For Children (Does this mean we can hit the children outside the city limits?)
• Curve, 5(or any other) MPH (We ALWAYS have to drive according to conditions.)
  

  If someone were to steal
  -- or knock down --
  any of these signs,
  many so called GOOD drivers
  would crash because
  they weren't warned.
  GREAT DRIVERS
  would DEAL WITH
  whatever they encounter!
