Caxixi

A popular Brazilian instrument. These caxixi are made of imported reed. The bottoms are made from gourds which give a bright response. A special material used inside gives the caxixi a "phasing" effect. Gourd bottoms and natural reed are used, never plastic for an original sound.

Sizes include: x-small, small, medium, large & x-large

Also available are double caxixi.

These caxixi are specially woven together with a metal bottom giving them a unique sound. Each caxixi is hand made and colors may vary.

The double caxixi are available in small and medium only.
