OUTSIDE MEREDITH’S HOUSE – NIGHT

The episode starts off with Derek and Devin in mid-air, plummeting towards the ground. Both their expressions are frightened and in shock.

Within a mere second, they harshly hit the ground. The sound of Meredith’s scream has not ceased. She pokes her head out the window, petrified.

"Oh my God! Somebody! Help, please!" Meredith screams, tears springing from her eyes. "Somebody!!!"

Devin and Derek lay motionlessly on the grass lawn.

FREEWAY – THE NEXT DAY (EARLY MORNING)

A large, red Chevy Suburban cruises down an empty freeway, tinted windows disabling us from seeing who is inside.

Inside, a group of the "outcasts" are huddled, talking about the Carter-Way Cult. Jeff sits easily among the group. Most have dark and black hair, and have darkly painted finger nails.

Jeff is handed a beer. "Thanks man!"

Jeff pops the top and chugs down the beer quickly. He wipes his mouth, crushes the can, and throws it aside. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a joint. He lights it and enjoys the marijuana.

"So where exactly IS this cult thing place?" Jeff asks, worry free.

"Don’t worry about it, Jeff." Carter says, throwing back a beer. "There, you can have all the women you want, get more bootie than Bill Clinton, do some Mary Jane, drink beer, have fun, its an awesome place, dude."

"Where is it, though?"

"West Nevada." Carter coolly says. Jeff’s eyes widen.

"NEVADA? You’re taking me from Pine Valley, Colorado to Nevada?" Jeff says in awe at the thought of going cross the states.

"Kick back, man, don’t worry."

ALEX’S HOUSE – EARLY MORNING

Alex wakes up in bed. A ray of the first morning light shines through Alex’s blinds. It is a peaceful morning, but as we look closer at Alex, it is obvious that he hasn’t slept well at all.

Alex moans in discomfort as he struggles to get himself out of bed. The psychotic events of last night have scared him a great deal. Was he going insane? Would Tristan’s image come back? All of these questions race through Alex’s head as the phone begins to ring.

"Hello?" Alex asks wearily as he picks up the receiver.

"Hello, Alex? This is Dr. Sky Fowler from Crystal Cove. We are happy to inform you that you have landed the role as Bailey Marks. Congratulations!"

Alex only responds with an expression of pure shock.

PINE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL – MORNING

Taylor and Amber walk along the hallway toward homeroom at Pine Valley High School. Amber is bright, cheery, and full of energy . She is especially giggly this morning, having had sex with the one she loved just the night before.

Taylor is not as enthusiastic. The secrets dwelling in his heart were starting to take his toll. He suddenly snaps. He has to tell Amber.

"Amber…"

"Yeah?" Amber responds.

"You know my father is dead…"

Amber’s expression turns concerned. "Yeah"

"Well, after the attack, I started seeing this hypno-therapist lady, Dr. Latte, and she told me that I killed my father and that I have a long lost sister…"

"What?!!" Amber nearly screams, edging away from Taylor.

"Please, just here me out," Taylor says. Amber pitifully listens. "I can’t stand the thought that I would have done something so horrible, but Dr. Latte said that I was just a child and that I blocked it out from my memory. That is so gruesome! Last night I tried to tell you but…"

Amber leans toward Taylor and hugs him.

"I am so sorry Taylor." Amber begins. "But you are not alone. I love you, and I am here for you if you need me."

"That’s just it…I’m leaving." Taylor frowns, looking down at his shoes.

"What? Why?" Amber says, on the defensive.

"I HAVE to know the truth. I’m going crazy not knowing…"

"Well then I’m going to help you!" Amber interrupts, "and you don’t have to leave Pine Valley!"

PINE VALLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL – MIDDAY

Meredith sits in Devin’s hospital room. She is crying silently, waiting for Devin to wake up. After a few moments, Devin coughs and his eyes open.

"Oh, Devin!" Meredith cries out in joy as she leans down and hugs Devin. "Please, let me explain! All that happened was that Derek liked me so he put all those roses in my room and when I walked in he caught me by surprise and read me this poem and I felt it would be nice if I hugged him and that is it, nothing more! I like you and only you and I realize now that Derek was sick and…"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa…" Devin interrupts, "slow down. I understand, really I do. I forgive you and everything. I just can’t forgive Derek for doing that."

Meredith wipes a tear away. All that she has said is true, but those roses and those poems had sent something through her. A feeling that Derek was the one for her. She couldn’t let Derek go, but she couldn’t tell Devin that she wanted to try a relationship out with Derek…

AND THE LOVE TRIANGLE BEGINS!!! BUT THAT’S NOT ALL, HERE IT COMES, THE BIG HUGE EPISODE CLIFFHANGER…

Just as Devin and Meredith hug again, a girl walks into the door. Meredith and Devin release their embrace to see who it is. As Devin looks over, he sees a familiar face, the face of the one he used to love. He sees the face of the girl who he, perhaps, STILL loves. He sees…

Stephanie.
