I mentioned that my favourite song from the French pop star 'Mylene Farmer' is 'Sans Contrefecon'. This can be found on 2 CDs: 'Ainsi Soit Je' & 'Live A Bercy'(double CD). I have found that the following website has samples to all those tracks:
www.barnesandnoble.com
Just type in 'mylene farmer' as a 'Music' search.
They have track samples for just about all the CDs they sell.

I have written an article on using free sound recording/editing software, as well as transferring music from hi-fi to PC at:
www.soundrec.co.nr
If you enjoy listening to your favourite music, you will definitely want this software as it improves the beauty of your favourite music, read it to find out why. Even if you're not interested in doing this yourself, you probably know someone who is.
~
Thanks to that software above I have now been able to record some of the most beautiful pieces of music I have on casette:
Back in 1988 there was a tv film called 'Echoes' shown on UK tv. The theme music is the most romantic, haunting piece of music I've ever heard in my life! It is breathe taking! It is 1Mb in size & you can download it here
echoes.mp3
I also recorded a beautiful, relaxing piece of guitar music. It is as beautiful as it is relaxing. There are 2 guitars playing. I don't know what it's called or who it's by. If anyone could tell me I'd be most grateful. It is 2Mb in size & you can download it here

I have just heard a delightful piece of rhythmic/new age music by an artist called Kevin Wood. Click
www.amazon.com(Kevin Wood samples)
You will find that 3 of these tracks have generously been made available for free to download here:
www.sceniclistening.com
The first is called 'Tribal Hymn'. It's in mp3 format & is 5 minutes long (5Mb in size & takes 20 minutes to download if using download accelerator software & a 56k dial up modem).
The other 2 are about 7Mb in size & are in realplayer format.
I thought 'Tribal Hymn' was rather good & was the best of the 3.

If you enjoy heavenly choir/church singing music there's a composer called Palestrina. I love this sort of music & it's the sort of music that fits right in with the main picture of the chapel in the previous page.

There's a beautiful film soundtrack from the film 'The Merchant of Venice' (26 tracks). The main theme music is truly beautiful, with beautiful harp music accompanied by violins. Some tracks sound like those from the Gladiator film. Others are beautifully atmospheric/haunting pieces. There's some wonderful pieces of medieval music, sung by what sounds to me like a young monk & other stunningly beautiful pieces sung by a woman. Truly worthy of this website. Listen at
www.amazon.com(Merchant of Venice samples)

I have a recording of a film soundtrack. I don't know who it's by or its name, but it is an amazing beautiful, romantic piece of music. It sounds John Barry/James Bond like & reminds me of a piece of classical music called 'Song of India'.

Back at last! I found some beautiful pieces of harp music at http://www.heavenlyharpist.com by Sally Fletcher. Most samples are 8 minutes long. I especially liked those from the Serenity from the Harp cd.

Just as beautiful is harp music from Mark Davies http://cdbaby.com/cd/markdavies/from/celtic/(2 minute samples)

There is also some fantastic haunting Celtic music by the singer Jenneth Tollin. The music is in a style that echo’s the traditional storytelling style of the Celtic Bards, very mystical http://cdbaby.com/cd/tollinjenneth/from/celtic/(2 minute samples)

The website where the last 2 CDs came from www.celticmp3s.com/magazine/ has a lot of free Celtic music if you subscribe to their free newsletter.

http://cdbaby.com/cd/joannamell2 is another on a similar theme.

There are 3 free harp mp3's at www.docgrauzer.com/ in audio.

http://ccmixter.org/magnatune/view/contest/sources In its new age section is a great free harp music collection by Cheryl Ann Fulton. They have many other genres to choose from too. Although free, the end of each track has a voice saying it can be paid for from their website.

www.live365.com has many new age radio stations. On a 56k dial-up modem you can hear(at most) good quality 32k broadcasts. It's free to register. One of my favourite stations, Dream Catcher www.live365.com/stations/vinylbytes60 has new age/Native American Indian style music.
