Founded in the 9th century Dzongkar Choede monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Tibet. King Palden Rigpa Goen, direct descendent of the ancient kings of Tibet, donated this monastery, which is situated in the province of Ngari, West Tibet.Before the Chinese invasion in 1959, Dzongkar Choede had about 500 monks, but only 50 were able to flee the country into exile.A special tradition of the monastery is the preservation of Tibetan Buddhism and its related religious arts, such as the establishment of sand mandalas, sacred Cham dances and butter sculptures.
Keeping the preservation of Buddhism in mind Clear Path Tours was established in 1993,to help the Buddhist travellers in India as well as raise funds for the Monastery. The profit from this establishment goes to the Monastery.
Since its establishment ,we have established a reputation as a travel and tour company for Buddhist pilgrimage sites around India, Nepal and Tibet. We have also organized and send monks from our Monastery around the world to perform ritual dances and exhibit their skills at different ritual arts like sculptures through wood and butter, plus thangka painting. We operate out of New Delhi and have our partners within Nepal and Tibet to make the venture successful.
