The Fastest and cheapest method of computerisation of drawings is scanning. Scanning of any drawing or documents converts them into scanned images which can be preserved as it is or further can be vectorised or OCRed.
Documents
which are only needed for reference can be just scanned and preserved on
a compact disc for future retrival and reference. OCR (optical character
recognition) is a process in which a scanned image of a document is converted
into a standards word processing , excel or office automations software
files wherin further editing and changes can be made. The process is fully
automatic and takes into account use of high resolution scanners and ocr
softwares.
Approximately
60-75 pages can be scanned as well as OCRed within an hour. OCR process
probably ends your need for retyping of same documents manually which is
time consuming. Also it avoids errors which are likely to cause while typing
manually.
