"Con Express" started production on March 26, 2001 and finished mid-May. Arnold Vosloo completed his work by mid-April. Arnold describes his character as a 'Russian bad-guy', nouveau riche and sporting a spectacular 70's wardrobe. He had alot of fun with this character! The film also stars Sean Patrick Flanery, of "Young Indiana Jones" fame and Ursula Karven. Release date (U.S.A.): July 23, 2002, directly to DVD/VHS. View the trailer, courtesy of IMDb.com. Plot summary (courtesy VideoFlicks.ca): An action film with a political edge, CON EXPRESS stars Sean Patrick Flanery (SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE) and Arnold Vosloo (THE MUMMY). FBI agent Shawn Brooks is assigned to safely escort a dangerous political prisoner to a UN Conference. This e-mail was received by the AVRP in April (2001) from an anonymous source: The filming is mainly in Heber Valley; a very small and quaint Pioneer town that was first settled by a whole Village of Swiss Pioneer emigrants in about 1856. The town is set in a very picturesque valley surrounded my craggy mountains that reminded the early Swiss settlers of there home in northern Switzerland! I am told filming started on time Monday, March 26th and will continue until the end of April with the main stars and perhaps wrap-up with some of the extra's into May. This is being made for the USA network and will be a feature film made for TV movie. | |||
