Nori Kelley has over 26 years studio experience behind him. He
studied music theory & composition in college, and began working
as a session guitarist immediately afterward.
Nori
and his wife Barbie comprise the music duo "WIND,"
and they've travelled across the U.S. playing in clubs & coffeehouses
as a duo, trio, and band since 1993. They've also taken their music overseas, playing
a number of times in Russia and Japan. In fact, they've been living in Japan since 2003 - but plan to make America homebase once again in June 2005.
Nori
has produced and/or engineered about three dozen albums in the past
twelve years, including seven with Barbie and two solo projects
for Mel Bay Publications. The Mel Bay projects involved
recording a CD for their largest selling guitar instruction book,
and a new guitar instruction book/CD package that was written by
him. Both are released internationally. In 2000, Nori
and Barbie spent two months in Japan, producing, arranging &
engineering an album there.& they produced one there in 1999
as well. In addition, Nori has produced and/or played on countless
other recording sessions in other studios, including many TV &
radio jingles.
Nori
and Barbie also teach private lessons, on guitar
& flute respectively.
