4. Information on the Target Market

5. Information on Potential Suppliers
Corporate film and photography services, recording services, promotional, distributive and publishing contract licensing agreements may be required for national and international sales and will be contracted expressly by availing demonstration of my production studio’s films, commercials, soundtracks, portfolios and the recorded repertoire developed in my studio.
Corporate professional services will be required when an individual or group becomes able to demand more quantitative services than my studio will deliver. Public demand will create a requirement for further promotional and distributive services. The correctly termed objective is in this case scenario is "working as an ‘independent’ production studio label marketing cooperative with a ‘major’ corporate production studio label".
Major studio labels carry creative and distributive networks and contracts that independent studios can access only by contracting cooperative with a major production studio.
Purchasing the proposed production studio equipment, opposing major label studio costs (an industry standard $250 per hour), will enable me to efficiently and productively develop, produce and promote appropriate commercial films, advertisements and sound recording assignments that generate future earnings.
Independent production has the specific advantage of accommodating numerous multimedia responsibilities under one roof. As expansion becomes evident to a successful independent production studio, partnership and incorporation will become imperative and increase public demand for services. Spin-off development agencies may choose to conglomerate under a corporate umbrella or diversify financial portfolios as desired.
6. Information on Competition
There are virtually 100’s of talent agencies in NYC usually specializing in one aspect of talent. Commercial Print, Motion Picture, Music Repertoire and Fashion Modeling are separated into numerous different agency categories, and predominantly work as separate fields of the multimedia business.
Although this is standard for major talent booking agencies, less prominent ‘independent’ talent development agencies and production recording studios are available to assist models and musicians with start-up decisions and portfolio or repertoire development.
Models, musicians and productions companies may be sequestered to sign exclusive release agreements to major studio production companies, and either leave the development agency for professional assignments or exact a nominal percentage fee for the initial development service.
There are additionally 100’s of development agencies charging these fees to the prospective talent consumer for this initial development. This challenge exacerbates usually already difficult circumstances, and casts suspicion over the intentions of the production agency. The real challenge is in producing commercial talent portfolios for major production studio label review.
My studio will exact a development fee only after professional booking assignments are achieved, therefore differentiating my studio from others. With the proposed equipment and the listed monthly PASS (social security award) allocation, my business will operate on additional advance capital from major production agencies and from future earnings.
This will enhance my image with the talented consumer, and additionally significantly improve market standing among the majority of the independent production studios that require high standard reputation and market image.
7. Information on Business Location
NYC is my resident city, business location and school alumni. Numerous ‘go-sees’ for Wally Rogers of R & L Talent Management, and various non-union scale wage film and commercial print assignments, led to my most recent ‘Total Music Recording Diploma’ from the acclaimed NYC Sam Ash Music Institute. Prior to 1992 my visiting (almost) virtually every listed talent and commercial agency in the 1991 Ross Report produced my enhanced awareness of modern film agency requirements and operating procedures.
Prior to 1990 my NYC record industry promotions included attending record industry seminars, teleconfrencing and writing weekly trade issues assignment articles and sending records and biography ‘kits’ to the listed Friday Morning Quarterback (FMQB) national radio trade magazine’s radio stations. College Music Journal’s (CMJ) extended radio considered David Della Rossa’s debut ‘Nothin’ But Trouble’ and Fire House (now Geffen Records) for former Platinum/Gold record distributor Samuel Aizer of Swan Song Records, Inc. and Three Cherries Records, Inc., in addition to metal mayhem Sepultura.
Since 1990, my administrative experience has included word processing and database/spreadsheet operations for numerous corporations. Assignments Chemical Bank, The Bank of Tokyo, Lazard Feres, Morgan Bank, plus the La Marca Group, Inc. (radio advertisement), NW Ayer, Inc. and, Yvonne G. Della Rossa Designs & Della Rossa Boutique, Cunard and Island Tours, Inc.
My latest full-time subsidized employment position under the direction and auspices of Dr. Ira L. Mandelker, Associate Director of the St. Agnes Grand Central (Partnership) Neighborhood Social Services Corporation afforded my awareness of numerous record-keeping techniques, procedures and the administrative software and expertise required to operate independent company.
One year and my current enrollment in the Computer Science (mainframe programming) curriculum at Borough of Manhattan Community College is my current status as a computer operator which has progressed since my first Computer Applications Certificate of Achievement from the Los Angeles Regional Occupational Program in South Pasadena, California.
With the permission of my landlord, Mr. Peter Casey, Broadway Breslin Associates Manager, my SRO residence (with 2 closet spaces) is just large enough to house and operate the proposed production studio equipment and computers/filing cabinets without hindering my living quarters.
This accommodation will meet certain IRS specification requirements to deduct a portion of my SRO rent in this functional business event.
