Look at some sample photos of a few of the headpieces that are one-of-a-kind originals designed and made specifically for each individual bride (shown in the photos) wearing it. Several of the headpieces that I have made have beautiful original beadwork and detailing that you just cannot find on bridal shop headpieces.

Traditional, Contemporary, and Unique Headpiece Designs...
Headbands, hats, barrettes, combs, pearl or crystal tiaras, V-bands, up V-bands, wreaths , and backpieces, are just some of the styles from which you can choose for your perfect headpiece. Creative Expressions will build your headpiece on any of these (or any other) styles using materials ranging from traditional beaded satins and silks to unique leather, feathers, and faux fur. All beadwork is sewn by hand or cemented, to the fabric base so that the beads do not fall off your headpiece. No headpiece request is too strange, all you have to do is ask!
Veiling and Detailing...
All Creative Expressions Bridals custom headpieces include up to two yards of plain-edged, 72" wide, Bridal Illusion veiling in white, ivory, or diamond white colors. This is enough veiling for a single-layer cathedral or double-layer fingertip (for definitions of different veils plus information on embellishments and their prices please go to my home page). For the headpiece, details that include expensive trims such as intricate laces and genuine crystals and/or rhinestones, etc. will raise the cost of your headpiece to over $100 (please read my down-payment policy).
Restoring or Re-creating Antique Headpieces...
If you have a headpiece that your grandmother or great-grandmother wore, but it looks a little sickly, I can attempt to restore the headpiece or make a new one for you based on the old style. Whether I restore it or re-create it depends on the condition of the headpiece, which means that I will need to see it (preferably holding it in my own hands) to determine the extent of the work that needs to be done.
In order for me to see the headpiece, you can opt to send it insured mail to me, after I've sent you written assurance that I will not lose or damage your heirloom. OR, if you have a video camera or know someone who has one, you can send me a video tape (regular VHS or VHSC) of the headpiece while discussing what you think you need done to it. If, after viewing the tape, I still need to see the headpiece to determine if it can be restored, I will let you know. After making a determination of what needs to be done to the headpiece, I will give you an estimate and you can then let me know if you want to proceed with the order. All policies concerning custom orders remain in effect for antique headpieces.
My charge for restoring or re-creating an antique headpiece is the standard $20.00 per hour and that includes materials, whatever they may be.
Antique veils cannot be restored, mostly because they are made of natural materials (usually silk) and are often deteriorated to the point that nothing can be done to save them. I can apply a new silk veil to the antique headpiece, as long as you are willing to pay the cost for such veiling (it can run as a high as $50.00 per yard). The other option would be to use modern nylon veiling or Bridal Illusion on the antique headpiece.
Headpieces for the Bridal Party...
If you need hair accessories or headpieces for your bridesmaids, flower girl, or other attendants, Creative Expressions can help you achieve the look you want for your entire bridal party. You might consider having them wear hats, or embellished barrettes, or floral headpieces, or floral wreaths, or even very delicate tiaras. All of these hair accessories are perfectly appropriate for your bridal party (or especially for your maid of honor) and they can be made to coordinate with either your gown or their attire.
