This poem was written for a friend of mine on his 21st birthday.
Mighty
is the man who seeks to
abandon the ways of the world and
reach towards the everlasting
knowledge of our Almighty God.
Caring
about those around him,
understanding and grace are the
threads that knit together this
humble and gentle man.
Beyond his earthly eyes,
eternal life is the promised
reward for his willingness to
trust in what he cannot see.
Souls open to him as he
opens himself to Christ.
Near to him is the heart of God.
