Did you know?
Our school has 44 toilets. That's almost one toilet for every thirty students. (Actually, it's much less than that; many of them are for staff only.)
There are 19 urinals in the school. None of them are in girls' washrooms. However, we should point out that every second urinal is useless, due to the mandatory "one urinal buffer zone" between urinators. (Ask any guy.)
20 drinking fountains--many of them work, too.
There are 13 girls showers (which are separated).
There are 13 boys showers (which are communal).
Girls have 10 mirrors while boys have only 3.
Mr. Greco has his very own bathroom adjoining to his office. It is big enough for you and 7999 other people.

The school year has wrapped up, but there are still some extra copies of Aquila 1998 available. They're $40 each, and can be bought at Sir James Dunn C.&V.S, tel. (705)945-7177. Copies are limited, so if you still want one, you'd better buy one fast. As well, about 10 people who pre-ordered books have not picked them up yet. They are available at the school.
We are relying on feedback about Aquila 1998 to help improve the 1999 yearbook. We've been gathering feedback on the 1998 yearbook through surveys, word-of-mouth, and e-mail. As well, in September, we are planning to have an open meeting where people can tell us what they liked and what they didn't like about Aquila 1998. This will help us improve Aquila 1999.
The editor and assistant editors of Aquila 1999 will be meeting periodically over the summer to do some preliminary work on the yearbook. They will be selecting fonts, designing templates, and brainstorming ideas for the cover and endsheets. Their decisions will be finalized after consulting with students in September.
For those SJD students interested in working with the yearbook next year, staff applications will be held in September. You can work in one or more of the three main of areas: layout, photography, and sales. More details will be available in the future.
