Backbone needs straightening. Needs grips & brake hardware. Pedals & pins welded to crank, 1 pedal missing. Needs new front rim, bearings & reworking of the hub. Restorable in a very rare model and desirable size.

VERY RARE - "XTRAORDINARY"
Invented by G. Singer in 1878 (Patent #4265), a key bicycle in the development of cycling history. Restored as per photos attached.

SINGER CIRCA 1887 - 30" Wheels - 19" Size
Pedals split as in Singer type. Egg Cup style front footrests as Singer. Very interesting construction of a Cross frame with single stabilizing rod. Great complete H.T.S. all there. Good overall condition. Some original nickel still visible. Brake plunger's original compression spring still working. Original horn grips. Pedals still rotate smoothly without even having oil added. 3 spokes distressed in front wheel. Should clean up nicely. Identified by construction - no headbadge. 42" Wheelbase.

Unknown CIRCA 1887 - 30" Wheels - 20" Size C-C
(could be Interesting parallelogram frame design, built without a Sunbeam) seat tube. Serrated front fork foot rests and foot step at rear fork ends. Front fork type suspension with spring between fork crown and bottom of head tube, as well as another between top of head tube and stem clamp. Original spring also on brake plunger. Complete except for grips & chainguard. Chainguard bracket to hold same is present. Original John Bull "North Pole" rubber on wheels. Original saddle does not need to be replaced! Name on saddle should be readable with some research. Original black paint visible. "Woodhead & Angois Patent" plate on chainring/crank mechanism. Traces of front gold decal visible. Pedals there, but 1 pedal rubber missing. 43" Wheelbase.

HUMBER CIRCA 1889 - 30" Wheels - 21" Size
Good overall condition. Original rubber on tires, Leather on Saddle frame needs replacing, grips missing. Original Humber decal on headtube! Needs chainguard and front mudguard. Seat post bolt also holds seat stays to frame. Classic raised standard diamond frame with similar geometry to current Mountain Bikes. Black painted. A wonderful display piece. 43.5" Wheelbase.

Made in New York State. Detachable crossbar attached. Has skirt guard over rear wheel and chain guard. Good overall condition, original black paint. Saddle spring & leather require restoration. Crescent shaped rims take Cased Pneumatic tires. Spokes are crossover & tied. No tires. Toothed front fork foot rests. 42" Wheelbase. One of the nicest Safeties I have ever seen. Exceptional, intricate rod brake system to rear direct drive wheel! Frame brazing is superb and most interesting.

Shaft drive. Flat crown to front fork with seat post. Drive at crank is in the middle of bottom bracket. Definite museum piece. a must for a Specialist Shaft Drive Collector.
