Sometimes I despair that I'm not dealing with humans...or, I don't write things they can read and comprehend.

Fed up with the stupid First Health stalling and delay tactics, I submitted an online complaint form to the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). I very distinctly stated "My complaint is the bad-faith, unethical, fraudulant business practices of First Health, acting as the third party administrator of the company plan."

So what do I get back from the TDI? Take a look at this!!!

A completely irrelevant rehashing of past claims issues (which exhausted all my administrative claims.)

Makes you wonder what the TDI sent to First Health, and if the "Complaint Specialist" read their reply for compliance!!! I will follow this up with a complaint to someone in a supervisory position!!!

I finally followed up, here it is!

The mailer daemon returned it; it remain UNOPENED in the queue too long! I then re-sent it to postmaster@tdi.state.tx.us requesting that it be forwarded to Ms. Cartey.

Receiving no response, on December 22, 1999, I then faxed the complaint to TDI.

Still receiving no response, I then snail mailed the TDI Commissioner, with cc: to my State Senator and Representative. I'll keep ya' posted.
