Autoreg provides a simple user interface to edit the registry settings which allow data disks to AutoPlay. You can test your autorun.inf files on any drive, including remote and removable. This is not possible with the Windows default settings. You can also control whether audio CDs are played automatically when they are loaded. AutoPlay is started by right clicking the drive in Explorer and choosing AutoPlay (data disks) or Play (Audio CDs).
Conditions of use
Autoreg is freeware, copyright by RHA (Minisystems) Ltd. The original ZIP file containing the setup program may be distributed freely. The program is supplied "as is", you use it at your own risk. However, we have not had any reports of registry or other damage. You are responsible for the consequences of changing your registry settings.
If you like Autoreg we invite you to register, if you use it commercially we trust that you will. The fee of $20 buys a key which stops the license screen appearing and the C source code of the program. The details are in the help file and there are links in the "About" box.
Unzip the downloaded file into a temporary location. To install run the program Setup.exe. An uninstall icon is created in the program group. You can use it to uninstall, or use the Add/Remove programs applet of the Windows control panel.
