A dog's life is lived in the now
Wether it's play or time for chow
I've had dogs some for a little bit
One was with me 12 years then had a fit
Growing up a boy and his dog
playing together a well greased Gog
Fishing at streams or out for a stroll
A buddy generous in love through out its soul
I miss the dog yet have to allow him to go
He is in dog heaven don't you know
a happy dance there it's the law
I just wish once more he would give me his paw
